I have recently bought a new laptop, specifically ASUS ROG G75VW.
Everything is working fine, all the games working on max settings smoothly...But recently I installed Minecraft.
Immediately after that of course Optifine and I allocated 12gb of ram for it.
All things went good, there was no problems with installation or setting it up.
But when I started it I haved and until today I have only around 70-90 fps.
Yeah its playable and everything, but this number of fps I used to have on my old pc which was like 4 years old and have 5x lower specs.
The problem is I record gameplay sometimes, or stream it..And its decreasing the fps like for 50%.so with this I have only around 20-30fps while recording and thats not good, dont even talking how much it decreases when i turn on some texture packs (5fps)...
I think for the specifications I have now it could be kinda better.
Have tried to play it without Optifine, reinstall it, up-end the settings but still the same.
Does anybody know what it could be? I dont know what to do..:wacko: Thank you so much!
The Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 2.4GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M (3GB)
RAM: 32GB
OS: WINDOWS 10
HDD: 750GB SSHD (Hybrid)
PS: Sorry for mistakes, my english is not that much good.
Java is up-to-date...I tried everything from the link but still, nothing worked..Then I installed the "Minecraft Tweaker" from the link you send and its kinda better now! (from 60fps with optifine to around 120fps with this on low settings)..Still dont know where the problem is, I lost hope in that I will ever find out that, but at least its kinda better.
Hopefully this thread will help somebody with similliar problem in the future.
Oh wait! I actually have turned the Vsync off in settings of Minecraft..But while ago i looked into settings of my graphics card and there it was turned on!
I turned it off, tried and..Cool guys! Now I have around 300fps and 70 with shaders..Case closed.
I have tried it, but no matter what render distance i set it to, the fps was still the same
There's an old bug where you need to restart the game after changing render distance for it to work properly.
Looks like you get great fps at distance 10 (compared to 32) anyways.
And you get 70 with shaders on a laptop? That's pretty decent!

You should NEVER allocate more than 4GB of RAM to MC. Using 12 is what is most likely causing the problem.

Thank you all!
Is Vsync turned on? That would limit your fps to your screen's refresh rate.
No, the the fps limit is set to unlimited...
You're trying to run distance 32... why has no one noticed this?!
Still, that's pretty good for a laptop!
Reduce render distance to something more sane.
