I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I have tried to play Minecraft but it suddenly became extremely slow. Before I upgraded, I played on default settings @80 FPS. Now it runs @1-3 FPS. Even the loading screen lags.

Make sure you have up to date drivers for Windows 10.
When I run the installer, it said, "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer." What do I do now?
Try going into device manager (Windows Key + X on Win 10) and go into Display Adapters and find your Intel HD Graphics and right click update driver software.
I have this exact issue, but it was related to the Win 10 Anniversary Update. Minecraft w/ Optifine ran @ 60 FPS with no issue on Win 10 prior to installing the Win 10 Anniversary Update. After installing the Win 10 Anniversary Update, Minecraft w/ Optifine dropped to low single digit FPS (like 3 or 4 FPS.)
Rolled the Win 10 Anniversary Update back and Minecraft is working perfectly again. So it is definitely something specific with the Win 10 Anniversary Update. Still haven't found a solution yet, other than to block the automatic update for Win 10 Anniversary Edition.

I have already tried Minecraft before and after the anniversary update. Same performance.
try looking at CPU usage in task manager - if something is hogging the CPU intel graphics driver's won't perform as well.
I have checked the CPU usage while running Minecraft and nothing else in the background and the CPU usage is about 45%. Sometimes it will spike to 75-90%.

This doesn't actually help that much since the game lags on the menu screen. I only get about 1-5 FPS now.

okay, how about downloading "Intel Extreme Tuning Utility" from Intel's website and running a GPU stress test. a 1-minute stress test should do.

What do I do after? It said it passed.
send a report to mojang, since it is most definitely not your hardware. Be sure to include ALL your hardware specs in the report.
