Yesterday the new minecraft update(ver - 1.10) was released...before that i used to use optifine on 1.9.4 and used to get 50-130 fps depending upon the world or server .After the update got released , when i launched minecraft I am getting 7-18 fps on singleplayer ! So can u guys give me some tips to improve the performance/FPS .
My laptop specs are :-
Processor - i3 2350m 2.3ghz
Ram - 4 gb ddr3
Integrated graphics card - Intel HD graphics 3000
OS - windows 8.1 Pro -64bit.
Thank You
And another question , how long does Optifine developers take to make the latest versions?
It's because you don't have an up-to-date Optifine anymore.
And the developer takes as long as he needs to develop it to a new version. From what I've seen though, it's usually pretty quick. Quicker than most mods.
lower your view distance, maybe allocate an extra gb of ram
Allocating more RAM is generally only a good idea if running a very high view distance, mods, and/or shader packs. More RAM than you need can actually hurt performance in some situations.

Lowering view distance, turning down particles,

I played on a laptop for about a year and used a common solution. Right click the taskbar and click "Task Manager". Once open, go to details, and find both "javaw" or "java" .exe files. Right click them, go to set priority high (or at least something above normal).

Most likely, I have used this on a range of different PC's for the past few years with no problems, it is a common way to improve performance in Minecraft on the internet. It is unlikely that it can damage your system, but some people think otherwise.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
