I haven't been playing much Minecraft lately, but my sister brought up that she couldn't make charcoal in the minecraft furnace in my ModPack.
so I checked it out my self and sure enough Charcoal can't be made from Wood Logs in the vanilla minecraft furnace, but for some reason can only be made in Railcraft's Coke Oven.
Now I dunno what mod I have that disabled the original recipe of smelting wood logs into charcoal in a vanilla furnace, and I've been looking through the configuration files to find anything that disables this behaviour, preventing me from making charcoal in a furnace.
Here are some of the bigger mods I have in my mod pack for Minecraft 1.7.10

Not Enough Items
Industrial Craft 2 Experimental
Gregtech 5
Buildcraft
Railcraft
Thaumcraft
Pams Harvestcraft
Bibliocraft
Biomes'O'Plenty
Mo'Creatures
Custom NPC's
Flans Mod (and modern weapons)
I do have Minetweaker 3, and I've tried adding charcoal back to the minecraft furnace, but the code I use based on the Minetweaker 3 wiki tutorials doesnt work and causes NEI to malifunction (I can see recipies and usage for items, but not hte NEI interface at all, even if I press the "O" (Oh) Key)
I get an error when I reload the Minetweaker scripts telling me theres something wrong with the code in "Smelting.zs" and thus the recipe I made for smelting charcoal doesnt appear.
If anyone has any ideas how to fix this (by changing settings with the mods or a minetweaker script), that would be great. Its not a major issue but I would rather prefer making charcoal the good old fashioned way (plus some friends I intend to play with in the future wont like not being able to make charcoal in a minecraft furnace)
PS : I currently don't have internet at home so I'm on a laptop at the library for internet access, so if anyone needs a log file or what ever, I'll have to post it when asked for.

Its the little details that make up the big picture.
