So recently after having installed Optifine 1.8.9 HD U H3 17.02.2016 and installing the shader pack SEUS v10.1 Ultra my ram consumption of the allocated amount would rapidly start climbing until it reaches the cap and then reset. While the ram is climbing my fps is 80 then as soon as it hits the cap I get a massive stutter and drop to 1 fps. This happens across the span of about 10 seconds, although the longer I play the faster it happens, and it is its fastest when I pause the game in single player doing it about every 3 seconds. I currently have 5gb of ram allocated to minecraft so it is climbing very fast. If I have to just use a different shader I won't mind but I would much rather keep this one.
This is a typical symptom the Java Garbage Collector acting up. 99% of the time it is caused by the user messing with JVM arguments that should not be messed with.
wasn't JVM turns out I just needed 6gb allocated for the settings I had now I am getting a smooth 78fps

System:
Latest Java Version to date
16gb 2133 ddr3 ram
GTX 970 Superclocked
AMD FX 6350 six core @ 4.2ghz
Windows 10 64bit
Not sure if thats enough for the ultra hd 2016.
Not enough of what allocated ram?
I mean the hardware itself.
I have nearly the same specs and I get a bad 20 fps even by using the lowest possible quality version of Ultra.
Really I've been getting 80 aside from the problem with my ram fluctuating
Yes you shouldnt mess with JVM.... Unless if you know how to use it.

nice!
