Hi. I have recently changed from a Windows computer to a Mac and I haven't been able to put my old worlds (from the Windows computer) onto the new one and I have no idea how to! I would usually just copy the up-to-date world from the saves file onto a USB and then transfer onto another Windows computer but I can't do that. Please help!
Oops. Must have clicked on the wrong forum:rolleyes:
It's really the same as transferring it to another Windows PC but you put it in a slightly different location. With OS X, the equivalent of AppData\Roaming\.minecraft is Library/Application Support/minecraft -- so put the world in the saves folder at that location.
Keep in mind that ~/Library is hidden by default, so you'll have to either make it visible or navigate to it manually.
Well... open the launcher, click Edit Profile, and click Open Game Dir. That will open your minecraft folder. Make a note of what the location is -- I don't see why it wouldn't be in ~/Library/Application Support, as that's where it is on my OS X partition and that's where it always has been.
