PLZ HELP i am a HUGE MODDER and i love mods but i have an error that whenever my minecraft loads until reloading texture manager 4/10 it will stay there FOREVER and not respond. I am sure its not a problem of the mods or computer i actually have the same mods work fine. It was suddenly after one day that this problem popped out PLZ HELP (i had to force close as it is not responding)
I'm having the same issue, with it stopping at 6/24 on TextureManager. This only started up after having to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10 on my laptop (because of some serious issues with it... really wishing I had stuck with 8.1, annoyance notwithstanding.) Exact same mod setup works fine on my desktop, running Windows 7. Issue persists whether running a mod setup through the regular Minecraft launcher or running through a modpack launcher like FTB or ATLauncher, and even with different mod setups. Forge version I'm using with the standard launcher is 1517 for 1.7.10, and I'm using the most recent nVidia driver package (358.50) and Java version (v8 rev 60 for x64).
Here's a pastebin link for the log generated by Minecraft when attempting to run a mod setup from the launcher. It gets to that point and then just totally locks up.
Each of the FML logs ends on the same line... right after generating the Dense Ores texture for gold. I've included the latest one here via Dropbox. Pastebin kinda freaked out at that long of a text dump.

Additional edit: On loading without using Forge (without any mods, in other words), everything goes fine. And then I set up a different profile and attempted just loading one, then progressively more mods. Only loading a few, or loading several that didn't create a ton of changes, didn't seem to cause a problem. Adding another to that mix caused it to eventually run, but at a terrible 1 FPS. Any further, and it went back to the same stall point again.
Yes, the Intel graphics bit sort of confused me; the laptop should be switching from the onboard Intel to the nVidia card when it starts up Minecraft. I double-checked to make sure that the nVidia Control Panel 3D options were set to specifically force the Java runtime to run on it, and it had worked fine before the Win10 reinstall. I'll give disabling the loading screen a try, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers just to give it an extra kick in the pants, and report back later. Thanks for the assistance.
Well, neither of those worked, but the third thing I tried did... instead of just forcing Minecraft's java.exe to run through nVidia, I put in settings in the nVidia control panel to make the javaw.exe in Program Files to force that one as well. I didn't have to do that before, but apparently I do now, because it's working again and the GL line under System Details in the FML log changed accordingly:
So I guess some additional setting I missed got conked on the head when I had to do the reset... Hopefully this is something that the OP can use as well in some way.

I have the same issue as the OP, the log looks pretty much the same. Oddly enough, it increased a LOT (from like 2 minutes to indefinitely) when i updated a bunch of mods and added Botania back in, but it still has pretty much the same log: ending with creating texture/block-atlas. I tried leaving it to load, and after 7 hours, nothing happened.
Also, even though I do have Dense Ores, Ars Magica 2 came before it froze in console. I am sure neither of these directly caused the error.
Also, I have tried a bunch of things, like changing the mipmaps value or disabling the splash screen.
•Fact: The more users pester people who make mods to update their mods to a new version of minecraft, the less likely it is that it will be quickly updated.
•Fact: The more you comment about it, the more likely you are to be ignored.
•Fact: The more recent the last post about updating a mod is, the more annoying yours will be.
•Fact: Using all caps does not reverse any of the above effects.

I have found more info on this problem. I decided that, while loading the pack, I should open the resource monitor. The disk io was never that high, averaging around 8MB/sec, but when it hit the point where everyone freezes, the disk io went to almost constantly being 0KB/sec, with the occasional 1-5KB/sec.
Might as well put a link to the modpack, if anyone else wants to try.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110. The only thing new on it is a hard drive to replace the original one that broke. That is not the problem, as it was replaced over a year ago, well before this problem started.
