when i open minecraft it downloads the launcher again and creates the native log and everything on my desktop, i tried redirecting it in the profile settings but didnt work, if i delete them it just redownloads it any help?
for some reason this is now the default settings for executable
even when i change the executable to where it needs to be, it doesnt work it still downloads those files when i click on the shortcut it downloads "runtime" and "Launcher"
and for some reason it saves them on my desktop, any suggestions?

tick "game directory" in the profile editor, maybe that helps
i will try but i dont think it would help since this happens when i start the launcher not when i click play
whoops, my fault. sry for my brain
any suggestions?
Well, u could use a Modpack Launcher instead - they all support Vanilla as well.
Or u could just ignore it...
Put the launcher where you want it to put its files. Then put a shortcut to the launcher on your desktop.
Thank you so much it worked!
