Been trying to solve this issue for a few days now- a friend and I play on an modded server that I host locally, and in the middle of a play session my friend's client sound abruptly cut off. After disconnecting from the server, she still has sound on the main menu, as well as in single-player. It's only after connecting to the server does she loose all in-game sounds. The console doesn't suggest anything is wrong- the sound engine/OpenAL seem to initialize just fine.
We've done the following to try and resolve this so far:
Checked the in-game volume levels.
Checked the Windows sound levels (both for the OS and individual application).
Re-initialized the sound engine once connected to the server (F3 + S).
Completely re-installed both the FTB launcher, the Minecraft client, and the modpack.
Could this be a server-side problem somehow? Is there something in the Client or in the Windows system that could be re-directing the sound elsewhere once connected to the server?
[Windows 7 x64, Minecraft 1.7.10, FTB Infinity 1.3.1]
