Everytime I try to play the new luancher, it starts out fine, and I can play singleplayer and multiplayer for about 10-15 minutes, then my internet connection compeltely goes out. What is wrong with the connection, and why can't I connect after a certain amount of time? I play on windows, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I have no mods intalled and have no texture packs into the update. So, what exactly is wrong?
I need help. Whenever I'm playing Minecraft and I'm in maximized, it gets flickery and flashing. It keeps happening. It only doesn't happen when i is in minimized or fullscreen. I reinstalled minecraft and did a lot of other stuff and it still isn't happening. Is it a problem with my monitor or java because my monitor is 1600 by 900 which minecraft should still handle. Please help.
I just came back to MC after several months. Knowing that the game was updated with new launcher and all, I just decided to delete everything, launcher and .minecraft appdata files, update java, and download the new launcher. However, upon running the new launcher, it skips the interface and immediately asks me to log in, and then proceeds to tell me that "sorry, we are unable to connect to our servers right now". Did I miss something vital, or is it just the infinitely buggy client?
That's just mojang was having problems but now its back on.
My son switched to a Windows 8 computer (running Java 64) and cannot get REI minimap to work (error is "unable to create rei mini-map folder"; however can get Rei minimap to work on Windows 7. Seems like a permission issue, any ideas?

It is in the options within the game.
