Basically without her having to buy a new copy of the game, can I login on her laptop and download my client and play with 2 copies of the game on the same lan? She wants to see what its all about and its easier if she has someone to show her the ropes.
As for multiple PC's, I am not too sure how it works. I will however give what I can using one PC.
1)Launch Minecraft/
2)Log in with your premium account.
3)Load desired world and open to LAN.
4)Start up another client.
5)Take a few letters off the password so it is incorrect (If your password was "min3craft" you could take off the t to make it "min3craf", so you fail the login).
6)Click "Play Offline".
7)Click Multiplayer and join LAN world.
I think this will work if you do steps 4-7 on another PC if they are connected to the same router.
If you use the minecraft launcher it will launch you into the same version as if you logged in with your normal account. You will not be able to join any servers except LAN worlds and singleplayer worlds.
