READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE POSTING don't just say "get optifine" or "get a better computer" I'm working on getting a better computer but for now you will just make yourself sound like an idiot.
or you could just give advice which would help and I would appreciate it alot~ also +1 to any relevant posts.

but if someone is really willing to message me or skype me and help and actually get my performance above 15 fps then I will give a $5 dollar commission if needed
and no, optifine doesn't do anything for me either, or atleast it hasn't in the past, I'll try it soon.
must get minecraft running faster first though
and here's system info
Model: SR5113wm
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+
RAM: 1918 MB
System type: 32-bit operating system
I put ddr2-800 gaming ram from adata.
I also want to note that I downgraded to minecraft alpha and I still get 15 fps, I know for a fact I used to get 30+ fps in alpha so my grapics drivers aren't the problem I think
basically, I had minecraft running at a constant 20-30 fps in 1.4.7
then I moved out of home, I turned off my computer and boxed it up
and when I turned my computer back on when it was setup, I didn't have internet, and I got 9 fps, completely unplayable
I really don't understand how it happened but before that I had a big underwater series of homes and the game even ran fine then
after a while the FPS did even out a little and it became playable again
but then in the series of snapshots it became very unplayable 5 fps
another thing which surprised me was the fact that even on tiny render distance and all the graphics turned down, I still get the exact same fps where I used to get normal fps for my comptuer's standard and somehow turning the computer off, effed everything up?
I had a very nice member help me greatly
we tried installing magic launcher, it helps a little more stability, I tried updating nvidia drivers, I tried updating LWJGL, tried scanning for viruses and nothing really worked, updating to 1.5.1 did give me 15-20 fps though so it's just playable
but then, what happened next really surprised me urging me to write this post
I downgraded to minecraft infdev and then minecraft alpha with "MVC"
I thought I would get 60 fps on far render distance since I get 15 fps on normal render distance in 1.5
but no, I got 15 fps on far and turning it to TINY didn't give me even a slight improvement
so basically, no matter what version, what setting, I get 15 fps
in 2010 when I played alpha, I had 512 mb of ram, I could play the game with 20-30 fps on tiny
then I upgraded to 2 gigs of adata ram and my performance soared I got 30 or so fps constantly on normal render distance which was in minecraft beta all through up until the later 1.2x updates it got worse and better with every update but still playable
I just don't understand how suddenly I just get terrible fps for no apparent reason, I have hardly noticed any performance issues with my computer otherwise except youtube lagging but I know that's because youtube is constantly making itself worse
I did notice that instead of changing the version it just changed the .jar file, and the 1.5 .minecraft folder is still present, could it be something within the .minecraft folder that is imparing my performance? note I did update lwjgl
if someone can help me get my fps back to 20-30 constant then I will send you 5 dollars via paypal
This is a pretty okay processor, it's not this that's the problem.
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
It's this. This is a pretty old card. The latest drivers that were made for this were in 2009. First I'd recommend updating them http://www.nvidia.co...2bit_15.49.html
Brand new computers will run games a lot faster than they will when they're two or three years old. Have you gone inside your tower and cleared it of all the dust and other things that like to clog up in there?
Other than that, the only thing I can suggest is buying a new card (old hardware will slow down over time), and clearing out your system for junk files which I recommend CCleaner.
thanks for the input, I have several cans of air and dust my computer out every few weeks, how ofen would you suggest?
also in a funny retrospect to what I just said, optifine has helped tremendously once I installed it
I get 28-15 fps on normal render distance and connected textures
and the fog looks so much better! you can see the sky even on tiny and that is the only issue I had with running on tiny, and for some reason with optifine installed I get 42 fps on tiny and still get to see the sky.
it didn't seem to help at all in 1.4.7 oddly and that's why I said to not reccomend lol
I know mr sectional moderator isn't going to like this but.. mojang are idiots for not learning anything from optifine, they should seriously just ask to copy and paste it into the game. but no they can't dish out 15 fps for it's users
or you could just give advice which would help and I would appreciate it alot~ also +1 to any relevant posts.

but if someone is really willing to message me or skype me and help and actually get my performance above 15 fps then I will give a $5 dollar commission if needed
and no, optifine doesn't do anything for me either, or atleast it hasn't in the past, I'll try it soon.
must get minecraft running faster first though
and here's system info
It's this. This is a pretty old card. The latest drivers that were made for this were in 2009. First I'd recommend updating them
http://www.nvidia.co...2bit_15.49.html
And basically, anything else I need to say are found in this thread here:
http://www.minecraft...on-mar-14-2013/
Minecraft is getting more resource intensive, and it just really puts the load on old hardware.
umm I may have updated this nvidia driver, this user directed me to a page that looked very similar to this and it didn't help much but I'll try it.
also you didn't take any note on how the old version of minecraft alpha plays poorly still just like how 1.5 does
thanks for the input, I have several cans of air and dust my computer out every few weeks, how ofen would you suggest?
also in a funny retrospect to what I just said, optifine has helped tremendously once I installed it
I get 28-15 fps on normal render distance and connected textures
and the fog looks so much better! you can see the sky even on tiny and that is the only issue I had with running on tiny, and for some reason with optifine installed I get 42 fps on tiny and still get to see the sky.
it didn't seem to help at all in 1.4.7 oddly and that's why I said to not reccomend lol
I know mr sectional moderator isn't going to like this but.. mojang are idiots for not learning anything from optifine, they should seriously just ask to copy and paste it into the game. but no they can't dish out 15 fps for it's users
