ok i did further tests and for some reason (doesn't show it all the time) my globe for my internet goes out when the error message appears so i'm gonna wait till after i move into my new place in a few days cause i will have a different internet company and hopefully that resolves it otherwise idk i might just wait and upgrade to windows 7 (my laptop is an asus from 2008 i think and it is running windows vista which will also give me alot more memory space if i upgrade)
i had this same problem and ran into it a while back too. The problem is JAVA! the new update for some reason wont let me on . im on 64 bit and cant even get into the game but THE ONLY FIX i could find was do download the older java.. stupid but thats all it is.. http://java.com/en/d...d/manual_v6.jsp

I have this problem since this morning and its supper annoying. I am the owner of a server and I cant even play on it. It is a feed the beast server. In the log when I get logged out like that it says something about redstone wiring and mfsu and also nuclear control. Then the ram usage bar just goes crazy and stays full untill I stop and restart the server. So maybe its something that is server sided.
*Windows 7 Enterprise I believe
*Having Java Internal something
*I have Java 7, if their is a new java currently please give me the link to download, the ones to download with offline or online

This is crap that we all have this problem. I think it is something to do with your computer not working with your internet. My other computers work with no issues whatsoever. When I bring my computer with the issues to my dad's house, I get no issues.
True this is bull I love playing on this rp server but I keep lag tanking and its so dreadfully annoying hopefully it goes away within a few days Im so sad.
I'm pretty sure this is a server-side problem.
The server owner could try to delete the player files in server/world/players, this has worked on a few occasions.
Also, another option although a bit extreme, BACKUP (do this! it might delete all your MC files I'm not sure) and delete jinput.jar from your /minecraft folder.
It should re-update again and it might work. (I'm not too sure about modded clients however)
It happens with almost every server I go on though!
I'll try what you suggested now though.
EDIT: Okay so I was very hopeful that it worked as I was able to stay in this server for 5 minutes when normally it's only 10 seconds. But then I saw everyone froze and I nearly started crying, lol
Everybody. This is a server error. It is not the clients fault. Minecraft runs, like all programs, in RAM. When the RAM is low on the server, and if it is a linux server, it will continue to run, but it must move programs from RAM to the HDD Swap Space. If it is a Windows server, Minecraft will halt continuously and forever until the server is completely reset. You time out when the server does not respond to you, mainly because it is doing something else, in this case, moving a lot of RAM files to HDD. This can be prevented by reducing the amount of RAM java uses using -Xms and -Xmx commandline options, increasing the amount of RAM on the server computer, upgrading the server's CPU, install an SSD, or reduce the use of RAM by other programs while running the MC server. This applies to ALL versions of Minecraft Servers, Vanilla and Modified (CraftBukkit, etc.).

I think I have the soultion to this problem. I didn't actually have the "Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out" error. I had the error: "Connection Lost Timed Out". After a while I did get the error your getting but only for a short period. The soultion for me was to reboot my router. You do this by unplugging your router and plugging it back in a minute later. Even if your minecraft servers work on other computers in your house this could solve your problem for a single computer.

I think I might have partly found a solution for the problem. This is for Windows, if you go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Then expand 'Network Adapters' and click on your right click your network adapter. > Properties > Advanced Tab > Transmit Buffers. You now have the option of changing the Value. When I changed the value it enabled me to stay on servers longer or shorter before getting the error. I recommend changing that value until you don't get an error, I'm trying to do that now.

I just did allow it through my firewall and it still kicked me after a while
I'm only following what you said, you just said "at least we know it's your computer".
Would you be able to link me the profile of a support guru that is fairly active? That would be very helpful

Thanks anyway.
If you have read his very own post:
Sounds like a derpy NIC to me. Buy a new NIC and stop using the built-in one.
