Hi, I am currently just a Classic player though I have been tempted to buy the full Minecraft mostly because of Redstone
Anyways I have been having a problem on Classic that makes me scared to buy. When I play Classic now, everything is normal at first, but after a few minutes my mouse clicks (either button) starts bringing up the menu instead of editing blocks. It is as if the mouse begins to re-map its input to be like the Escape key. It prevents me from doing significant builds unless I keep restarting Minecraft.
I am on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Is it when you're holding down the right-mouse button to place a block? If so, it's just a bug.

No, individual clicks, I almost never hold down the button, but I will try setting my mouse to be "slower" and see if it helps.
Also, like I said, both buttons do this, so if I am trying to erase a block or create one, either way I end up getting the Menu in my face from clicking.
Yeah I just tried messing with my mouse settings every which way and it's no better. It is hit or miss, like every 2nd block I try to edit results in the Menu popping up instead of the block edit action taking place.
Edit: I tried changing browsers and it still happens. I have both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
I end up hitting Esc and re-clicking until I get what I want but it makes me want to rage
Edit: If I try to click SUPER SUPER fast like un-naturally light tap of the mouse button it tends not to happen so I guess it is registering my mouse too quickly and the "holding bug" you described is happening.

Ahh, well this is the mouse losing focus. Try going to mouse options and correcting it.

Also, you say Browser. I was going to say download the Minecraft.exe but you don't have an account. Classic has not been updated for quite sometime, so expect problems and bugs like this aswell. Buy Minecraft, and play on Creative Servers or make a Superflat Creative world if that's what you like. The game is definitley worth buying.

Okay thats what I want to establish before I buy, that the Premium Minecraft does not have this problem on Windows 7 64bit. You have Win 7 x64 then I presume?

No, I run Windows Vista 32bit. I don't use browsers either.
My System Specifications Operating System: Windows 2.6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1) CPU Type: Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz CPU Speed: 2.22 GHz System Memory: 7.95 GB Video Card Model: Mobile Intel® HD Graphics & Radeon HD 6770M Video Card Memory: 1.77 GB
My Minecraft is running very slow. I have friends with worse computers that minecraft runs faster and better. I have to play on Tiny with Fast Graphics. I have optifine installed and my drivers are all updated. Is somthing that i need to do to fix minecraft and make it run better?
Make sure you don't have applications running, check for viruses, get rid of any mods you have, reinstall Java. Those are just a few. Also, if you're not using the latest update and you're using a downloaded snapshot for example 12w25a there are chances it will make you lag.
Ok well thanks for your help but i know my laptop can handle fancy and far i just dont know what to change to get it running right
I'm not sure what to say, your specs on your computer are up to date with what is needed to run Minecraft. Who knows, this is all technology nobody knows anymore.
Hello, I have a problem. Whenever I download a snapshot and put the .jar file in my bin, replacing the old one, (like you're supposed to do), I get stuck at the Done Loading screen. When I remove the snapshot .jar, I can run it fine on 1.2.5. Is there anyway to play on the snapshot and resolve this issue? Many of my friends servers are on the latest snapshot and it sucks to not be able to play.
In short, Stuck at Done Loading when playing on Snapshots.

I don't know usually I'd say force update, but you're trying to play on a snapshot. I've played snapshot 12w25a and I've become really laggy so I got rid of it. But I can't really help you. Try this: Go back to 1.2.5 and on the downloaded minecraft.exe hit force update anyways. It will just reload everything again. Then try uploading the snapshot. If not try reinstalling Java.
I downloaded the client, and after a few minutes of gameplay, it just freezes, and I need to re-open the client, and it'll do exactly the same over and over.
Would be nice if someone would be able to help me out
Hi,
I've stopped playing for a time then updated my Minecraft to the newst vertsion. I think it was something like 1.1 or so before it. I deleted the whole folder, so the game is completely unmodded now. I don't use any texture pack.
Now when I play my ram increases over time. (I can see it in the task manager) It keeps increases until 800 or so and then my 99% of my cpu or whatever gets used for rendereing (when I press F3 ingame) and I can't play anymore. This happens faster on downloaded huge building maps. But also on normally generated maps.
I know I'm not the only one with the problem. But the only thing someone suggested was disabling Advanced OpenGL, but it doesn't help.
In addition to this there are TONS of those warnings in the event log of windows: (multiple per second)
The nvidia OpenGL driver has encountered
an out of memory error. This application might
behave inconsistently and fail.
That's quite odd. I was going to say disable Advanced OpenGL but since you already did that, I'm not sure. I will look it up and get back to you.

Try reinstalling your Java, or before you hit Login on the downloaded client, hit options and then force update. X out that box, and then hit login.

Okay tell me when you're done.
I run Minecraft on tiny/fast with 14 FPS. How do you think I feel? c: Play on Fast/Normal for now.

It's the server itself, its not you. Hence the word 'internal'.

Is your graphics card up to date, and check your computer for viruses aswell.
