No downloads, It is simply an online guide to port forwarding. It is all based online, there is a pesky advert that pops up, but that's easily closed with an obvious to find X. I can delete it though if you don't think it necessary
Aye, that was the plan I've used that site for everything port forwarding related, from MC to certain MMORPGs that shall not be named
Never had any issues, just lists the place to go in the admin area of routers and which ports to forward e.t.c. Saves people poking around causing more problems needlessly.
Thank you again for all the help Smithite, if you need a hand with anything, or if you want a break from support I can always try and jump in here!
Hello. I have been having alot of trouble playing multiplayer for the past two months now. When I try to log onto a server it says: Internal client error: Java.net.SocketException: Permission denied: connect
I hope that you can help me. Thanks.
Sorry, I haven't checked this thread in a while, is it all fixed?

I'm not sure, maybe it's just the new content in the update that your computer can't handle but I highly doubt that seeing as that there's that dramatic of a drop in FPS and by the way everyone IM BACK TO MONITORING THIS THREAD/FORUM
Hi, I have a problem with Forge. I download it and everything works fine up until I open MC. It's supposed to show mods, but it only shows texture packs. I've searched for the longest time and can't seem to come up with a reason for this. Any tips/ideas?

Try downloading the Magic Installer, it installs mods and packs on it's own.
i know, when minecraft shows the "updating minecraft" page and it freezes you have to press force update. but i have a mod installed and whenever i force update minecraft for that problem it gets rid of the mod! i'm trying to install another mod too. and whenever i try to install the second mod it shows the "updating minecraft" page and it freezes! then i force update minecraft re install my first mod and then i try to install the second mod, and it does the whole thing over! can you help me?
Hey Smithite. Wonderful thread! Hope you can shed some light on this. I seem to have a slightly different problem.
I'm running Linux, and have made sure that all my video and audio drivers are working. But the sound in minecraft goes silent while I'm sill in the menu. Sometimes, I can get the menu "click" sound a few times. Then nothing. If I start a game right away, total silence.
My list of programs that are using sound shows "java" when minecraft starts up, and the list doesn't change when the sound disappears. And all other sound on the system is working. I know, because I've had to test everything a few times due to audio drivers. Minecraft is the only thing left that doesn't.
Along with what others have run into, I made sure that the sound files were downloaded. My resources folder is full of them, and I can play them directly.
I'm running SolusOS (having same issue on 32 and 64 bit) and using the Java 6 runtime. Java 7 crashes.
Have you heard of this one before? I'm having a hard time sifting through all the other similar, but not identical, sound problems.

Yes indeed! You can use your login and password to play on from any computer. Just download the client to the machine and you're in.
Hello, whenever anyone shoots a fire charge out of a dispenser my game freezes for about 5 seconds and then closes and says "Minecraft has quit unexpectedly" I am on a mac, do not have any mods installed, tried force updating, tried deleting my mine craft folder and generating a new one and am out of ideas on how to fix this.
Thanks!!

Anytime buddy.
Sorry, I haven't checked this thread in a while, is it all fixed?
Noob Minecraft -er here and was wondering before I spend my money on downloading it, can I buy it on my PC and then install it on my laptop and play on both??
I know it's a naff question but just wanted to make sure I could
Thanks
I'm not sure, maybe it's just the new content in the update that your computer can't handle but I highly doubt that seeing as that there's that dramatic of a drop in FPS and by the way everyone IM BACK TO MONITORING THIS THREAD/FORUM
Try downloading the Magic Installer, it installs mods and packs on it's own.

Update your Java, this looks to be a Java error considering the details shown in the 'System Details' area of the crash report, or if you have a snapshot downloaded, take that off. Alot of people have trouble with new versions of MC or snapshots.
Try using MagicLauncher mod installer. You download a mod, put it into the folder and it correctly installs it. You might have installed the mod incorrectly.
Sincerely,
B.
