I was thinking, how many times have you started playing Minecraft, and wished you had friends, but you don't have your own server? My idea is, you can go to Options, and click "Invite Players" then you type their MCID and when they load up, instead of the regular splash (yellow text on opening screen) it says, "You got an Invite!" and when you click it it takes you to your message list (maybe you can add other messages, that could be an add-on) and if the person is still logged in, their world becomes invite-only multiplayer! If the recieving player is playing, the message can pop up in the text box.
But then the guy who started the game would also be running the server.jar or server.exe while playing. You would need dedicated server hosting from Mojang for that to work 100% of the time.
yes and im preaty shure notch isnt going to run server like xbox games do. waste of his money. and if that did come true then nobody would have to host server cuz mojang would do it. witch will never happen.
also the servers wouldnt be modded easly
and yea so never going to happen.
if u have a server and want ur singleplayer in it justr frag the world save into the server and rename the properties accourdingly...
