Hi,
It's quite annoying when making a video or screenshot of a creation to have the blocks flashing because of focusing on them with the mouse, therefore I propose a "nothing" mode, when you press the "nothing" button (It'd be toggle) you no longer are able to place or delete, or select blocks. So the crosshair disappears and on rolling over blocks nothing happens, much like when you go near the unbreakable base blocks. "n" would be a good button for it.
Even though it's not entirely necessary, I would like this as well. Sometimes I want to have a good look at things in the distance through glass or something and the flashing cursor can sort of get in the way. Making the cursor, crosshair and block panel disappear with a hotkey would be helpful.
There is a way to get the flashing cursor away right now though, but it depends if you're in the right position. Switching to the build mode and going right up to the wall you're facing can hide the cursor (as if you're actually standing inside of where it would be), but it would only really work if you're looking through glass, I think...

Excellent point. I wanted to look out of my friends lighthouse that he built and when looking through the window the select mode caused all the water in my view to disappear :sad.gif:
I'd have to agree with Citric, it's quite annoying to have blocks flashing up when trying to take a screenshot/recording.
It would also be nice for if you just want to roam around and admire the buildings of other people. I doubt it would take much coding to achieve this, so... =)

Hi my friends and i have also noticed that if you have the ''destruction'' mode and look at glass and its water behind it you cant see the water is this going too be fixed in later versions? Its not a big deal but it can be annoying at times like you
have an under water base and someone just use that bug too see the base.

Same thing with selecting plants, except it's the plant that disappears. It's not supposed to happen, so these glitches will probably be fixed at some point soon.
I also noticed that the text at the top-left (fps, chunk updates) could also get in the way of videos, but I don't know if that should be removed.
Maybe as part of the window of MC, you could add a black box that shows your current 9 blocks and FPS/Version/Chunks. The inventory and Players will still pop up on the screen, though. It can be a bar at the top, like this:

|Version |
|Fps/Chunks 9 Blocks|

I really like the idea of putting them together; would it not be more appropriate at the bottom though? It seems we're all accustomed to the blocks at the bottom so moving FPS etc to the bottom would be less of a change and easier to adjust to :smile.gif:

yes/no?

Build Mode -> Press Nose on Glass = Solution :biggrin.gif:
It's been suggested before though.

I'd love this, would be great for videos.
Easier way would be to resize your applet to be very big, and just record a section that has no UI.
