So I saw the new copper ore and I saw something we all know and love in the game. Dogs! So copper along with gold I think are both fairly similar in how you have to smelt the material before having the ore. So what if you can make a dog whistle with copper? It crafts as the same as sheers but with copper. I think this will help when it comes to having large amount of dogs.
Now how does it work? Whenever you right click the whistle(or charge it for farther sound reach) it will cause all sitting dogs to stand(that you own of course). However if all dogs are already standing and no remaining sitting dogs exist then the all sit if you use the whistle.
Edit: Using the whistle while dogs are attacking will cause them to come back to you.
Controlling it could also go down to a single right click allows it to go through different modes like sitting, standing, and retreating(I was initially thinking of a priority of what the whistle would do first) but to use the whistle instead could be a charge like a bow would have.
It might be problematic when multiple dogs are present on various distances and when in combat.
I instead propose to make quick right-click tap switch modes (sit, stand, disengage), and longer tap-and-hold be used for blowing the whistle.
Overall, it sounds like a decent asset, helping with dog management, even though I am not heavy dog user. Support, after modification.
