What's Inventory Fumble mean?
When you take damage, you drop a little bit of your inventory.
What if I'm fighting a monster?
This rule does not apply to the hotbar.
This will ruin my worlds!
It's a gamerule, completely optional if you want some challenge in the game.
Yeah, well... it's still useless!
No, it's not. It could be fun for PvP. Let's say you hit someone, and they start running away. Atleast you got something.
But... will it drop my whole inventory?
No. It will vary from 1 - 6 slots on drop.
What about my stacks?
If you're carrying stacks, and an inventory slot is randomly selected to drop in which there are said stacks, 2-32 of the items from that stack can drop.
My beacon... my Notch apple... my FIRE ASPECT SWORD!!
Calm down, those items have a very low chance of dropping.
No support, this thread wasn't good enough.
Please tell me how I can improve it!

Maybe, and I do mean MAYBE, if only certain types of items could be fumbled (not enchanted ones or hard to craft ones) this idea may have a place in PvP, but in general, it's usefulness is weak at best. Sorry, no support. It doesn't add enough to the game to justify implementation in my opinion.
I'm not to sure about this, even though you can toggle it. What I'd suggest is lighter items, like feathers and gold nuggets, drop more often, but heavier things, like iron and obsidian, drop less often. 4/10

Dropping parts of your inventory would be weird; you would have to rebalance everything else in the game around it. Maybe if it was turned off by default, but I think this would be better as a mod or a redstone program. No Support.

It would not be a good thing to be set on in default but I think it has a little place that it can be used by map makers. Btw, what if you take damage from falling, suffocating, burning, drowning, swimming in lava, touching a cactus, poison, wither, arrows to yourself, arrows from dispensers, ender peals or from potions?
Is there really enough demand for a feature like this? Who would want their inventory to be emptied when attacked by a mob or Player? And for the very low minority of Players who'd liek this, or the few mapmakers looking to implement a system like this, command blocks already offer a way of detecting Player damage, and clearing out slots of the inventory in return. No support.
Commands clear certain slots and not drop them. I don't think there would be a way to implement the suggestion in command block form so easily as typing a command.

Im pretty sure he meant for it to be a game rule, that could be turned on through commands (like keep inventory), so the game would not have to be balanced around it. Most players would not be effected by this, it would only efacet those who want an extra challenge or want to implement it into a map their making. I think this is actually a really awesome idea as long as it stays a game mode that you turn on using commands. I can already think of some pretty unique uses in adventure maps. Also, I think the amount of items that drop, how many slots drop, and how often items will drop, should be editable within the command (their would of course be some kind of default setting, where you just do /gamerule InventoryFumble true)

Edit: Please don't get this thread deleted! It's a really cool idea that reverse a chance!

I'm not sure how gamerules work on servers but I think only the creator of the server can toggle them on/off?
While some players may like this, there could be players on the same server who find it annoying.
Well, then that's that server's issue. Have a community vote to toggle it on or off, done.

Support my suggestions. Make the game better!

In the real world, gold is very heavy and obsidian is fairly light.

Well, I know, but, this is Minecraft sooo...

I support this. I mean, why not?
We need something like this. It would be nice.
Not sure where to put your blocks? Same.
Alright, alright, I get it.
I'll get this post deleted asap..
