So, if you enchant a bow and use it to put in a dispenser, if you shot arrows out of that dispenser, it would be the equivalent of that enchantment but only the first level. so lets say you put a power 4 bow in a dispenser, if you shot arrows out of it, it would be equivalent to a power one bow if you were shot with it. The only enchants that can be put in are power and punch, because flame takes away the use of fire charges and infinity is just plain overpowered.

And maybe one from creative can have infinity to never run out of items, but that's been suggested several times before.
I'm not saying it will stop at power. I was just using power as an example, you can use every enchant that you can normally have on a bow. it will just be level one.

also, the reason I made it so it would be the first level is for two reasons: 1, if you could have every level of every bow enchant, I'm not an expert but it could get kindof 'messy' and also, you could have a 2 block drop into a dispenser that is enchanted with the max level of power, activated by a pressure plate and has a hopper under.
The idea would sound overpowered if Flame, Infinity, and possibly Punch would come into play. But all I agree on is how well it balances when a Power V bow would only give the damage as supposed to a Power I bow.
I also suggest that this should only be applied to arrows instead of bows. But I can see why the Bow would have to come into play.
Infinity dispenser hooked up to 1-tick clock = infinite ammo gatling gun, you really do not want people making those.
Also arrows fired by dispensers can be picked up by players in survival, this would need to be removed.
Of course it would shoot infinity/skeleton arrows that can't be picked up...
Why would be infinite ammo gatling guns be that bad? Lag? Because the arrows eventually despawn it wouldn't cause worse lag than a normal dispenser filled with arrows. Maybe make the arrows despawn faster than normal for extra lag reduction?
If it really would be a problem infinity dispensers could also have a speed limit on how fast they can shoot "infinity" arrows (like 1 arrow/2 seconds?)

They are terrible for traps, all good traps use falling/TNT/lava... not dispensers.

I like the idea of power and punch for dispensers, but flame removes the point of fire charges and infinity is just plain OP. PARTIAL SUPPORT
You can already get fire arrows by placing the dispenser behing a lava block. (the lava lights the arrows on fire.)
Fire charges and flame arrows are really very different.
Fire charges ignore gravity and light blocks on fire.
Flame arrows shot from dispensers would have very short range, and don't ignite blocks.
