When the build limit was 127, the current cloud layer of 127 made sense. That was the top of the map. But now the build limit is 255. That leaves us with a 4 block thick "phantom zone" at 127. Shouldn't the clouds be moved to 255 as well?
I like that you can build above the clouds. I dislike that they go through walls, so I would rather that be fixed than the clouds being raised.

I agree with that. If the clouds could somehow be modified to "disappear" when they collide with the sides of buildings and reappear on the other side, that would be fantastic. Then you could have variable altitude clouds, which would be ideal in terms of realism.

Hmm...How about each "block" of cloud only renders when it is fully exposed to the sky? Obviously, this system wouldn't be perfect, but it's probably the most optimized.

I think it's cool to build above the clouds. The clouds aren't the limit, the sky is!

A cloud height options setting would be best. I would probably move them to 192.

Agree with this statement. It's fun to look out from a high aspect onto the clouds below.
I too would like the clouds to not penetrate structures. This is especially annoying to me since I like to build in and on extreme hill peaks.
