Okay, several ideas for more block types. If possible. I don't know, maybe it can go onto SHIFT+number.
Anyway:
1 and 2, the Glass and Sponge blocks, have already been made. Sorry. >_>
3- Teleport blocks. Again, a different-from-the-norm block. Two blocks are set. Each one connects to eachother, simply by you standing on it. Any additional block will connect to the last block laid, and the first block. Say there were five towers, each one has a teleport block at the top. You step on the first one. You go to the second. You step on the second. You go to the third. It goes on. But when you step onto the fifth block, you are teleported onto the first block.
4- Filter blocks. The exact opposite of the "Iron bar blocks" someone previously suggested. Instead of keeping solids out but letting liquids out, these do the opposite. Solids can come through, but liquids are kept out. Don't ask me how it's possible, it just is. :tongue.gif:
These blocks may seem a little absurd, but I think they would make a good addition to gameplay. With the right precautions, of course, as they could be possible griefer targets.
By filter blocks maybe you mean like see-through force field blocks? Sounds like fun! Would make the game seem a little less barbaric, no offense Notch, lol.

The filter blocks are great for underwater creations, and the teleprotz ones for floating creations.

Really? Odd. My computer sucks, so I play at a friend's house. I was just there Sunday, I never saw any.
I guess I'll go back soon and check...
If teleport blocks are unneeded, an option for more respawn points would be helpful. When building my underground forts I'd like to be able to warp around it, not just the center of it.
And the filter blocks would be just to make it easier underground. It would take away the chance of accidental floods. Wouldn't help against griefers, though...

The sponge and glass block have already been made but they haven't been implemented in the game yet.

Teleport Blocks = Hmm, not getting to like this idea really. Unless your being chased by a... wait, are mobs also able to teleport? And, secondly, how are they made? GOSH, you didnt put any details to your suggestions.
Filter Blocks = No comment.

The teleporter... Is well, unnecessary and to complex. I think the portal is enough.
