So a friend of mine starting playing Minecraft recently, but couldn't really find any recent tutorials on how to really play. I remember back in the day I learned by watching a fellow Youtuber play through the game a bit (back in 1.7.3).
Well, I thought since I've established a Youtube channel, I'd give back to the community by making one of my own!
Here are a few things I bring to the table:
-Recorded in 720p ( yay HD!)
-My microphone is clear and crisp! (Even though sometimes I may not totally be and there's a very good reason for that lol.)
-I'm not an obnoxious 14 year old! (Sorry kids, no loud voices or obnoxious screaming here!)
-Extensive knowledge of the In's and Out's of the Minecraft Universe
-Fairly creative when it comes to buildings/structures. (In other words, I help give you an example of how breathtaking the Minecraft experience can be!)
-I use the GLSL Shader Mod for the entire experience for that added visual appeal! ( so pretty! )
-I provide all required links for texture packs and the GLSL shader mod for you to try them out yourself!
-Im very easy going so feel free to leave a comment and I'll be sure to answer/respond to anything you
ask/say!
-The series is already completed! (Which means a guaranteed upload of two episodes a day!)
-Episodes 1-12 have already been posted so you'll have a nice bit to start with!
-I edit out the boring parts like mining for hours and hours. (not everything, just the excessively tedious parts)
-I ensure detailed explanations and solid commentary to keep you, the viewer, excited and interested in pushing forward.
-The Series is in a neat, easily accessible playlist! ( So you don't need to search all of the Youtubes to find the next episode)
So, if this sounds like an interesting series to you or if you're really just looking to learn about Minecraft, here is the link too my channel!
Note: I do more than just Minecraft. So expect to see other games poping up alongside of the tutorial series.
Warning: The contents of this series may contain some adult language and the use of recreational drugs. Content may not actually be suitable for any viewers at all. =/
Editing out the boring parts... is smart. Sometimes I'm in the middle of doing something in a video and the thought pops in to my head, "Why the hell am I commentating to this?" Then I blurt out, "I'm going to cut to the next part." Some stuff just isn't interesting. Keep it up.

I have two comments:
1 you might want to make a play list for the various LPs you have. It will be 5x easier to let it auto play ep 1-x. Now i have to wait till next video to load, go back to video 2 or whatever.
2. You said let leaves die to get saplings. I have never seen a sapling drop. I only get saplings if I chop the leaves, which I usually get up to 4 per tree. Chopping leaves also boosts apple drops, I probably get 1 apple per 100ish leaves.

Apples drop from the annoying oak tree leaves. (the tree with shape and go all over the place ... yeah them) And if you have other mods installed such as redpower, the 3x3 rubber tree drops apples. Only source of valid drops that I've seen. (yes I did see the vanilla title at the top).
I would recommend making a HUGE birch tree farm and only hitting the wood. Birch is good because their short enough that you can ALMOST get all the wood without climbing more than one block... Don't turn around until your about half way done (5 minutes = half else farm too small... make bigger) Now go running around for those saplings >.>
Also... pumpkins don't need tilled land to grow so you can stop using your hoe. Only to plant the seeds =P
