I am developing a playable adventure map for Minecraft, inspired by Silent Hill and other horror games.
Of course, I cannot really control the mobs, alas, but I have a strong start on a map that actually gives *me* the willies in the night.
Also in this video I am showing off my horror texture pack (work in progress) and my personal, brighter texture pack (also in progress).
The game is in early stages, and might be released as chapters, I'm not sure. The title comes from a game a friend and I started but never finished. The Walter Freeman Asylum is not actually crimson.
Music:
"Journey of the Sorcerer" by the Eagles, probably best known for its use as the theme song for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, both the BBC radio program and the movie.
"The Book House Boys" and "Night Life in Twin Peaks" by Angelo Badalamenti, from Twin Peaks, obviously.
"Promise" and "Laura's Theme" (and their reprises) by Akira Yamaoka, from the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack.
Youtube has flagged this for copyright, but says "no further action is necessary" -- hopefully, this means there will be iTunes links on the side, which, actually, I would prefer.
Video is a bit stuttery, I apologize for that. I'll make some new teasers when I get more done. I hope you'll all get to play this soon.
As always, feedback is more than welcome. It is craved.
EDIT TO ADD:
You know, I only *just* learned about Adventurecraft. I have been imagining some pretty clever things (if I do say so myself) to work around the limitations of MC -- But ooh, I'm tempted... Anyone have experience with it?
Sorry for double-posting -- but can anyone tell me how to edit the thread title? Looking around the forum, I see it's not really as informative as it could be, and I can't for the life of me see a way to alter the thread title.

The texture pack is my own, still in development. I think the grass should be dead, for one...
It's a project that gets bigger and bigger -- like most anything worthwhile, really.
Texture pack is coming along nicely, I've finished the asylum level and a couple of other locations.
Working on sound design, refining the texture pack, and fine-tuning the sewer level and adding some more challenging content.
