When I record, I get fps that goes all over the place. When I'm not recording I get 80-175 fps. When I am, I get 25-60. Now, I mean its kinda playable, but it's hard to pvp with that kinda of fps. I get around 40-60 when not in fights and 25-30 when in fights.
Specs:
Recording Software: OBS Studios
Processor: Intel I5 2.20 GHZ
Graphics Card: (Bad) Intel Integrated Graphics HD 5500
HDD: Samsung 256 GB SSD
External HDD: Old 320 GB Comstar
I record videos on the external HDD, but the performance is the same as when I record on my SSD. I want to record 60 fps, and not make it look like chicken scratch. Is there something like a codec or something to make me lag less?
Does OBS tell you anything like "CPU Overload". How many Frame drops does OBS say, and what color is the colored square whilst recording? You could try Recording in 720p 60fps.

I've heard Lagarith's Loseless Codec is good, however many websites say it is infected with Sality.
