So. It's been a long night indeed. It is currently 7:30 AM and i have still not slept because i cannot resolve this issue to save my life! So i have just started youtube, 70 subs, off to a good start, and i still haven't figured out how to record both in game sound and mic sound all in one track. Now before you start throwing all types of suggestions at me, please keep in mind that i have been at this since 2 AM and i'm decently familiar with computers. Now, the information. I record with bandicam. I know that stereo mix does what i am looking for, but i don't have stereo mix. I have "what u hear" and Wave/mp3. Every forum says "oh these are the same thing, just pick whichever one you have!" but they are very so not the same at all. What you hear does record game sound, and ONLY game sound. And i can't turn on Microphone and "what u hear" as only one can be selected, and this is the default one for EVERY sound application you have. I tried recording the game separately with Audacity, but if you have "mic" selected in bandicam, then it automatically changes it so "mic" is selected in Audacity, too. I tried searching the interwebs for answers, but no one else seems to have my problem. I read that stereo mix was removed from alot of drivers due to it being used to infringe copyright laws, but that is really frustrating because it has legitimate uses. I'm just looking for someone to tell me their setup. I am open to change recording softwares, just not fraps. I have Windows XP. I am willing to answer any other questions, i just really need help! ANYBODY?!
If you want to pay for DxTory, it has a simple audio interface where you can choose your mic and stereo sound. Sorry if you don't want DxTory. My only next option would be OBS which has a more complex audio interface. From what I read, you seem to be efficient at computers so it should be no problem.
I have two audio settings, i tried to put one as mic, one as "what u hear" and again, it only lets you do one. ex: i put mic on #1 and go to #2 and put it as "what u hear" and i go back to #1 and it automatically changed to "what u hear"
The only device that is listed in the drop down menu is my Sound card. SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio and then it has a dropdown menu for Line where it has the mic, what u hear, etc.
MCF, you are my only hope!
