Don't know where that website gets its results from Drdofun, but most of these programs and website are well known in the freeware world. My advise to you is to download to your own judgment and to get an actual Anti-Virus program.
Just a suggestion. Add Bandicam to the Screen Capturing Programs list.
Pros:
It's a really great program, there is a free version. It's not a trial. It lasts forever. Records in a really nice HD that, for most of the codecs it comes with, will show up as 1080p on YouTube. Multiple codecs. It's fairly easy to set up. You can also record EVERYTHING on your screen, not just a game. It can be set up to record DirectX or OpenGL programs, or you can just set it up to record a specific area on your screen. The default codec (I do not remember the name at the moment) compresses HD videos REALLY nicely. I can sometimes record for an hour (I have the full version.) and keep it under a GB. Also, it really keeps the lag down in comparison to Fraps. Since there's that FPS indicator in the corner of your choice, it'll turn red when you're recording, so you know that you didn't miss the record shortcut button. That really annoyed me in Fraps.
Cons (These are for the free version. The full version does not have these problems.):
It has a watermark at the top, but it's not as annoying as some other watermarked programs. You can only record for ten minutes. There's also a FPS indicator in a corner which is somewhat annoying, since you can't turn it off. It won't show up in the video, it's just sitting there (This is also in the full version. My only complaint.)
I have a few programs that I think you should add to your list that I find very helpful and are also free.
1. Encoding Megui is a fast and versitile encoding program, it comes with all the codecs you need built in so no need to download extra stuff, alllows batch encoding, muxing, and even simple editing.
2. Editing Avisynth is a powerful scripting language for editing videos with tons of documentation on the web. I use this along with another program VirtualdubMOD which allows you to put in cuts directly into the avisynth file which is very handy.
3. Screen Capture
Oddly enough MSI Afterburner , yes the GPU overclocking and monitoring software has the ability to also record uncompressed video.
If anyone needs help using this software just give me a pm and I’ll see what I can do for you.
What's awesome too is that say you open your favorite texture pack cause you like the palette... On the sidebar it will deconstruct that palette for you right there to work with. Also, does layers.
I need something that can do timelapse, and something that doesnt cause lag otu the shitload if you know what I mean, Id probably find it myself but its like 1AM right now or something...

I'm not sure how many tutorials there will be or about what exactly but its something I decided to add as a bonus to all this software. Not necessarily about the software here though.
I'm not sure if Pixen is actually free since I do not have a Mac. Can someone confirm this? Thanks!
Thank you all for your support and for all the nice posts! I'm glad the list has been so useful to you all!
When I try to record at 30 fps, I get an error saying that it couldn't record at 30 fps.
I went to the help and it told me to edit some stuff in properties, and I did all that, then restarted my PC.
When I tried to run Minecraft, it said I have a 'Bad Video Card Drive'.
Please help, I really wanted to upload to Minecraft Forums!

While not as fancy or functional as some other text editors, the great thing about TitanPad is that multiple people can work on the same document, at the same time. I have indeed found this incredibly useful for certain collaborative works. http://titanpad.com/

I'd like to think of myself as intelligent, but that, given the sheer variety and vastness of the cosmos that surrounds me, it is readily apparent that this is not the case.
Well I mostly use Fraps. Its a great piece of software, at least in my opinion, better than Camtasia. I can't compare it to EZ since I've never used it.

Neku_Shikazu what do you mean it erases wherever the download destination is? I have used it before and that has never happened to me.
Has anyone else had this problem?
