do not use a microphone if you are recording minecraft. then again this is my personal preference but i like to use headsets and if you get a brand name 100$ headset it should have a good mic on it

If you're dead set on using a headset microphone - a high end turtle beach is pretty good, the "antlion modmic" with some good headphones is another option.
As far as whether you use a proper microphone or a headset, it does vary on personal preference, but just remember that generally speaking you're going to get much higher quality for your $$$ with an actual microphone as opposed to a headset or lavalier setup (clip-on mic for those wondering). If you do use a proper microphone, all you need is a boom stand (dirt cheap) or a swing arm (bit more expensive, but can still get a decent one for fairly cheap), it's fairly easy to position it close to you, without impeding your ability to play the game.
I know this was posted ages ago but found this on google so its for those looking for a microphone. Id recommend the blue Yeti. It is sexy, sounds good, stable stand-still and convenient

I've heard that the Blue Snowball mics are good for recording, but are they good for gaming?
Also I have a budget of about 90$ for a mic.
