i use fraps to record and i want to know how to make skype calls with ppl sound better because im kaing a series with 2 other ppl
There are a number of reasons why the voice quality is low. One would be that the internet connection between you and your friends is bad. You'd have to remedy this by improving your networks.
Skype always drops the original quality of the microphone so it'd be good if your friend's could get the best mics they can possibly buy.
I'd also like to know how to have a 3+ user Skype call.
1. Open up a chat window with one of the people you want to Skype call with
2. Add people into the conversation, there are two ways to do this: First way - click the + button in the chat window, then click "Add people..." and select who you want in call Second way - typing "/add username" (e.g. /add peanuts); this adds people one by one, don't type multiple usernames
3. Whoever will be hosting the call should click the call button and everyone's Skypes should be ringing!

Lol... this just reminds me of forgetting to do my 'sync countdown' for my personal audio lol, and ending up having to do it on the call (lets just say it's harder to sync up when someone else is spouting random numbers - still possible, and entertaining on the editing end lol)
So I guess my advice is - remember to set up your audio sync -before- joining the call, unless you don't have wisecracking teammates (there is no real way to boost the audio quality, as was said, you'd need a better connection, or your friends need better mic's... the audio quality is generally going to be limited by bandwidth though)
Yea but how do I make them louder on the mic they, sound clear through it I need to know how to make it louder in the video
You'll need to control the settings on Skype. Go to "Options" in your Skype window and then click "Audio Settings". Check if your volume is on max. Also make sure to uncheck the box for "Automatically adjust speaker settings".
Another thing you can do is turn down the volume of your game and/or your voice in the recording and try to match it up to your friends' so that you can adjust the overall volume of the recording in a video editor.

fraps will record the skype call in with the game audio. no way to avoid it - that's why you have to be real careful about game audio settings heh (also why you see on a lot of videos where people are playing multiplayer - the audio settings are almost 0%)

In a simple sense, it records sound generated by the soundcard, it doesn't matter what device you use to listen to it. (its a bit more complicated than that, but that's the easiest way to explain it... )

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask.... so to break it down, while still oversimplifying it a bit to avoid getting 'techy', and going into unnecessary aspects I don't understand 100% myself (unnecessary for end users to really worry about honestly):
Under the "Movies" Tab of fraps, you'll see a segment called "Sound Capture Settings"
In Windows XP or earlier, this only had one option - which would record all sounds from a single source (default: Your Soundcard, which was all sound that goes through your soundcard)
Windows 7 (and not certain about Windows 8, but it probably has something similar too) - it has a couple options:
The first tickbox is - "Record Win7 Sound" - this option makes it essentially capture the audio that goes through the soundcard (Game audio, Skype Audio, and if you're using a 3.5mm jack for your microphone, that is likely plugged into your system's soundcard as well - USB microphones are a bit different)
The second tickbox is - "Record external input" - this option allows you to force fraps to record your external audio device (such as many usb microphones that use their own real or pseudo 'soundcard', to send audio data to the computer).
It will record it all on to a single audio stream in fraps... so you'll have the "video" and the "audio" when you go to editing, and it will all be mushed together. (for editing purposes, this is not optimal, but it what is sounds like you are asking for)
To make it extremely simple:
"Win7 Sounds" refers to what is coming out of your sound card (i.e. what is coming out of your speakers/headphones)
"External Input" refers to microphones you connect to your PC.
If you want to record both what is coming out of your headphones/speakers (including Skype calls) AND your own voice, check both boxes.
Another solution maybe to consider another communication program such as team speak or something like that for the PC. I always seem to have slow connection issues using skype, but other programs have less problems, and the settings by default are more oriented towards gaming.

Teamspeak/Mumble are both decent alternatives... though there is a common issue I see popping up that throws a lot of new youtubers astray: "Made for Gaming" and "Made for Recording Games" are very... very.... VERY drastically different things... this ranges from software choices to hardware, recording equipment, etc. (a great example is headsets - a great headset for gaming, can very often be horrible for game recording, because it may lack a preamp or similar 'unseen' technology).
Skype can be decent in some game recording situations because it will dynamically adjust the ambient audio on your system (louder when silent, quieter when talking) - making fading into/out of things like cinematic where the players don't talk, a little bit simpler. (Teamspeak/Mumbler/etc. etc. are still great programs, and for many games, they will outperform skype, I just felt this was an important tidbit to throw out there :D)
When I am using a separate computer for running Skype (to keep game and voice audio separate) I use a Skype plugin called Amolto Call Recorder which is free and works fantastic. Just be sure to set your Skype mic volumes or it may adjust things if you are running it through speakers.
This happened in my Wrath of the Fallen LP where it would crank down my and Noob's mic.

Speaking of Mumble: Any time we try to record -- or even just chat with Mumble -- there is a significant audio delay from person 1 to person 2 to person 3. We've tried doing a "rotating count", where we, in turn, count numbers up from 1. Everyone says the same thing: little to no delay from hearing the person in front of us, to speaking our number, yet everyone hears a large delay between everyone else. Skype's delay is much shorter, and almost unnoticeable.
Additionally, we get clicks and pops in our mumble recordings -- enough that we put up with the lower audio quality of skype (yes, it's noticeable, especially on the person with the worst microphone of our group). Do you know how to prevent that?
