I have been looking for a reasonable priced (10$-50$) and good quality gaming headset. Does anyone have any good brand or type that they can recommend?
Thanks TrumpetCows
Turtle beach all the way, they have the most comparable sound quality to beats and if your lucky you can find the X12's (Compatable for PC use) on sale for 40-50 dollars.
If you want a really nice headset for about 50-60$ Try out the GameCom 780 It has 7.1 Surround-Sound A great Mic that blocks out most backround noise. You can also record your voice with it as well.

There was a debate about this in the hardware section of the forums a while back... personally - I hate headphones for recording (most the time you either run into that annoying 'buzz' to the audio being recorded *not white noise, but an actual 'buzz' effect on audio recorded* -or- you end up with a poor pop-filter effect with too much 'p'/'t'/'s' noises)...
Turtle Beach is oft-recommended because they have, at least in the past, been 'good enough quality' to allow people to record and be heard clear enough for viewers not to click away in sheer terror. There are other options, if you don't mind waiting, there are clip on mic's that you can attach to your choice of headphones - the antlion modmic being the most well-known right now, decent quality, BUT has had a rather sorted history with shipping delays upwards of 3-6 months (though right now, I believe they've gotten through all their backorders finally, and caught up)
I use a mic on a boom stand next to my desk (you can also use desk-stands, among other things)... I prefer this option because it allows you a lot more control of your recording environment... and also you'll generally get better quality out of similarly priced 'podcast quality' microphones. Obviously you can go exceptionally high range in both, and get much, much better quality - but that's not what you're asking for here .
