The Herobrine Recreation Project was made ONLY as source for minecraft wiki and other interested and curious people. The project does NOT have any objective of bringing back the houx or tricking anyone.
For anyone who don't approve this project or wants to rage in the replies: DO NOT FOLLOW THIS TOPIC. The project do not intend to do nothing more than what is below this spoiler.
About the huge time with no major updates for people interested in this being dead:
Sorry, my bad, but I should end this here. Not only because it was not very popular, but because recreating the stream would require people with good memory that could help, and only few are still playing.
Even then, recreating the stream seems like doing too much for few rewards, People wouldn't like very much viewing the recreation, and even as an source for the wiki, it would be not too helpful there.
I had to research and research to find people/textures/info, and all the stuff I've got is in this thread. Go ahead and use it as you want.
This is the Herobrine Recreation Project, that Intend to recreate the famous Brocraft stream, that started the legend of herobrine. For this, we need all necessary personal who saw the Livestream and knows how it was. The objective for doing that is add information for minecraft wiki, and help other new players to know how that legend started.
EDIT: We're dead
For the video, we needed:
- Builders / Terraformers;
- People who watched the livestream;
- Someone to host the server (If necessary, because there is already an hosted server that would be used)
- Other people to pick up details (Like: Texture pack, items, etc.)
Its essential that the builders and terraformers have watched the Brocraft stream. Also there are some problems that need to be cited:
- We're dead...so yeah.
- We needed people to start;
- The people who will help need to be active to contribute to the project;
- They must have watched the video;
- They must tell friends about the project, and then, they would help with it.
- The texture pack need to be very detailed, because needs to look how it was on alpha.
- We needed someone to follow the steps of the player on the video, even by closing minecraft in the end
- Since there is no one who can imitate the voice that was reproduced on the video, It will have no audio;
- The quality will be never the same.
The project will run by these 4 steps:
Step 1: Get sufficient personal for all the 3 steps and for solving the technical problems
Step 2: Pick an random terrain and make it looks like the part where Herobrine appears in the livestream. The texture pack will cover any evidence of non made in alpha
Step 3: Film by the Brocraft Staff point of view. It's important imitate the movements shown in the video.
Step 4: Post the video in this Thread and use a Poll to ask if it would be approved or not. If not, the video should be done again.
1. Wouldn't the project make the houx come back to the forums as another legend?
That is an important question, because no one wants newest players to start talking everywhere about the video and about that project. If it works, the project will be only a source of knowledge of Brocraft Stream, with no other legends and houxes coming and going in the forum
2. How will you do that?
Probably, it will have the help of tons of people who watched the video.
3. What will I be able to post here?
Comments about the project, about the progress, screenshots of something that is REALLY important, videos of divulgationOF THE PROJECT and other things that are directly linked to the project
4. How can I help if I didn't watch the video?
You can help by solving some of the technical problems, like texture packs or hosting the server.
5. How can I join this project?
Just reply it saying that you want to help.
- The project is dead;
- The big word Deadis now visible at this thread.
Server:Not related Date of Start:Open to receive help!! Texture pack: Shadoku (Needs to be edited) People who will help till now: 5 Pictures (Random Consultation):
- Original video Image
- Better quality picture
Summary of the Stream(Random Consultation):
"I remember only him going around his mansion/house, going through a doorway into a room and at the other end was "herobrine", player screamed, cant remember anything past that." -Someone-who-watched-the-stream
"I spent a little while in Photoshop putting an image of Herobrine on a painting (Yup - it was definitely a painting) and then put that painting up in a small room in one of my "in-progress" houses. My map was small at the time, I think it only had 3 houses. Anyway, I started streaming and avoided that room for about an hour to 2 hours, to make it all seem more legit. I then happened to run into the room and directly in front of the door was Herobrine. I screamed and ran out of the house and turned off the stream." -Copeland
"It was a simple effect by retexturing a door, likely an iron one, to look like herobrine, this was decided by the fact that herobrine was visually only as thick as a door, and the position of one as well, him being flat up in a 1/2 block deep spot in the wall." -Someone-who-watched-the-stream
"I ended up retexturing a painting since there were none in my world at the time and it looked pretty good at a glance. My world had both wood and iron doors at the time of the hoax, so those wouldn't have worked." -Copeland
It seems like this project is dead but if you still want to do the project i can help.
The project isn't dead, there wasn't too much popularity in this project since there isn't much people interested in it.
You can still help if you want, but I think that, if it will took that long to get people in this project, we would have to wait
I would also be a character in the recreation if possible, however I have not seen the video except for the minecraft wiki information.
For the most part, I would like to help in any way possible!
I am going to tell my friends about this (4 or more)
Alright, thanks for the help!
I'm happy that this project is going well, but the only thing I would like to know is where I could find someone who actually watched the livestream, so then we could have some extra-help about it.
I have made the texture pack compatible with 1.5 and 1.6 using the unstitcher and the "Texture Ender".
Where should I put the files?
(I have skype btw)
Well, in the case of 1.5, you should put all the textures in a folder inside a zip folder.In case of 1.6, you just need to put the textures folder inside annother folder for the resorce pack thingy. Also, did you picked up one of the oldests versions of Shadoku to convert?
Thanks for helping out, If you could send me the folder from anyway, I would help fixing it to 1.5 or 1.6.
There will be a folder called "resourcepack". Just put the folder with the texture in there, so then it will be avaible to 1.6
Also, you may want to compare the textures to the screenshots to see f its legit.
