Just a small thing I wanted to share, please do ignore the bridge in the background.
From left to right I've built:
1. Easels, making use of 1.9's free-floating trapdoor feature. Any combination of wood and painting is possible.
2. A wall shelf. On the upper shelf I put trapdoors on the inside aswell, showing how there's 2 possibilities of build one, depending on how many items you want to display. You can also choose between only on the inside and both in- and outside, depending on how thick you want it to be.
3 and 4. Trapdoors can be used in two ways to decorate windows.
If you have more neat uses of trapdoors for decoration, do share them!

Great ideas! I really like the artist's easel. It inspires me to build an artist's loft apartment soon in my steampunk city...
I like it! Do you have more screenshots of your bookstore?
