Regia Anglorum II is over a month old now, and all of the support structures; farms, mines, forges, fields, grinders, etc are operational, and stockpiling of stone and food has begun in earnest.
Sometime in the next week, I will be starting a new thread and asking the Mods to lock this one.
For now here are a couple sneak peak screenshots.
The vegetable / flower farm under cons... the wheat field at one o'clock from the cursor
One of the 7 separate strip mines (this one is for white stone)
the temporary entrance to the above mine
The exp grinder under const (my own design. Probably not the most efficient... but its mine) This took forever.
On this world I can get around a little faster/safer than just running. I built a hot air balloon thanks to a mod. I wont be able to build while riding in it. Its just for travel. I'll continue building the old fashioned way; with gravity, hostile mobs, and dirt scaffolds... but THATS why we play in the first place, right?
inside this spoiler is a sneak peak at the first structure's initial planning stages
The first structure ill be building in the large scale that I prefer will be Durham Castle and Cathedral Complex. Its freakin huge
in the pic you'll see the basic footprints
castle in red, cathedral in orange, cloisters in yellow.... thats all one structure complex.
for scale i put a footprint of my two previous structures over in the black;
The grey square is Bodhiam Castle (from this thread)
The white thing below it is Neuschwanstein Castle from the previous thread
makes me happy that you are still working on this. Super inspirational. Been watching this since Neuschwanstein. I can always look at this post for some motivation.
In the text bar on the left of the smily face there should be a little red circle with an exclamation point, click that to insert a spoiler
Also, that looks awesome.
I'm genuinely excited to follow your progress with this. It's awesome that you're back at it. Post a link to the new thread once you've got it completed, will you?
Arundel Castle project was a success in feasibility, but I just abandoned the project.
For a REALLY good reason; I just built a monster desktop gaming rig. Its about $3700 worth of top of the line hardware (GXT 980ti hybrid, i7, 32G-RAM, triple 27s, etc).
So...... new comp = new minecraft download. And while I could have networked the old file over..... what the hell.... it was time for a 2 week rebuild of my mod pack; lighter, faster, and more sparkly!! Still running 1.7.10, but pulling 125fps on medium specs with 80ish mods running now.
New .minecraft build is under heavy stress testing atm, and I cant get it to crash anymore. Once Im convinced that it is completely stable and smooth, I'll be back with a vengeance. (prediction=1 week)
Not sure if Ill revisit Arundel, or grab something equally huge, but Im going big big big, soon soon, soon.

yeah Durham is freaking huge
Absolutely
Excavating is done. Layout is done. Scaffolding is currently going up.
Little Sneak Peak
Eventually, I HAVE TO take a couple days off playing to organize my 600+ screen shots and start a new thread for REGIA ANGLORUM II.
Gonna wait until i hit a wee bit of burn out and need a break... but, not even close yet
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Apparently, the code for placing a spoiler has changed. Anyone care to show me how?
Also, that looks awesome.
I do apologize for the delay on updating. I've gotten absolutely slammed. Will look into fixing tomorrow. Cheers!

"Programmers never repeat themselves. They loop."
yes, but I never made a thread.
Im currently building this, on a scale of 1bl=1ft.
It has a footprint of 1000X300
epic castle selection, look forward to updates!

Here is a look at the new modlist;
Notice the four marked mods. These are survival-builders' GAME CHANGERS!
Archetecturecraft = curved arches and round pillars
Helpful Villagers = a workforce of miners / farmers / etc
More Materials and Colored blocks Mods = HUGE set of 'builders' blocks options.
