Revisions to my initial post:
On this date I added two images to my initial post. Both document the addition of a fourth floor to the upper plateau Keep tower. One image, showing the Keep exterior, replaces an existing image. The other, a storage room interior, is new. Both entries are dated for easy identification.
I feel great now for updating that pack. You're putting it to great use! I guess I'll have to update it for 1.3 too :/ Maybe JJJason will be back by then. Hopefully. It's hard. Anyways... HOLY AMAZINGNESS AND EPICNESS IN A CAN!
For those who are wanting the texture pack well I have unnoficially updated it (Like FossiliziedMiner said) in 32x32, 64x64 and 128x128. I usually use the 64x64 because my computer is poop. Here are the links.
Once I get JJJason's permission I will probably make a thread called "Fancycraft REBORN!" And request textures for the pack that are original and not just stolen from others and edited poorly.
Revisions to my initial post, 2012-07-18:
On this date my initial post was altered as follows.
Several images were replaced by more up-to-date equivalents.
One entirely new image was added, providing a second view of the underground wool storage facility interior.
Images and text depicting my southern road and "Bridge at Double-Drop Gorge" have been moved from post #52 and now reside in my initial post.
Minor revisions to accompanying text.
ADDENDUM: FancyCraft Reborn has been official blessed!
The unofficial update to FancyCraft 128x128, the texture pack seen in all my posted images, has been officially blessed by the original creator. Here is the link to CashKid's release thread with download links. (64x64 and 32x32 resolutions are also available.) I continue to prefer FancyCraft over all other textures, and think it an ideal long-haul survival pack. Not bad for dedicated builders either, though some of the wood products (doors come to mind) are on the plain side. Best wool available imo. Great cobblestone...looks good for both walls and ground-covering...you won't be embarrassed to use it. Great stone bricks that complement and compliment cobble. Red bricks that blend well with cobble and stone brick. Great obsidian. So on, etc.. Grass is not overly dark, a plus in my book. Caverns are appropriately moody. There's very little 'tiling' that can mar otherwise outstanding packs at distance.

This is a VERY nice build you have here dude, I'd love to see the current version from a first person point of view as your images, however thorough don't seem to actually capture the grandeur I can imagine this fortress has.
Nice job, but i want the latest version for download >.<
Ask and ye shall receive. These two comments spurred me to upload an up-to-date downloadable edition of my fortress. Admittedly I'd been thinking to do so for some time.
One of the best structures/builds I've seen if it is truly legit!
This is a perfectly honest concern, and it dawns on me that I have not previously set forth my definition of legitimate as it applies in this situation. Open the spoiler to read the gory details:
I certainly consider it legit, though I am of course bias. You'll notice I never once claim to be squeaky-clean 100% pure virginal vanilla, and indeed am not. I am close, but no cigar. Aside from MagicLauncher, Optifine, and an HD texture pack, none of which bar me from vanillahood, I do run one mildly game-play altering mod.
That mod is Better Enchanting. It does not directly affect structure creation, but I suppose can be considered to do so peripherally. Now, Better Enchanting does not allow items to be enchanted any differently than is possible in vanilla. It does, however, remove the guesswork. You can justifiably say that I am able to gather recourses faster than might normally be the case by insuring I carry high quality enchanted tools. True enough. On the other hand, absolutely nothing says that I would not have gotten those same enchantments via vanilla had I chosen that route. It's a long shot but certainly possible. Heck, I might even had gotten better enchantments via vanilla, since with Better Enchanting I generally limit myself to level-III enchantments max on tools.
As to other aspects, I never once switched to creative (is that possible?), dropped to peaceful or even easy mode, or used any sort of command to acquire resources. I can of course offer no concrete evidence prove this claim. That said, those who download the most recent edition of my world can visit my extensive cave, abandoned mine and branch mining operations and see for themselves that I could easily have acquired enough resources to meet my needs without recourse to shortcuts.
Sometimes, there is much beauty to be had in austerity. In this case, it works nicely. I feel though, that the texture pack helps to add a lot of beauty to this work as well. Great start, do please finish.
I dug into the distant past for this one. So far as I know, I did not respond to it back then. I wonder what you think now that I have strayed from austerity and strive to add to touch of fanciness to my otherwise practical builds?

Also i have started work on renovating the Naval Base! So soon i will post more in depth info but for the time being:
<screen capture snipped>
Good for you. It's a worthwhile project, one I wholeheartedly endorse. For those who might not have read my various texts in detail, I mention several times that I consider my naval station an eyesore and embarrassment. It is an early construction, built back when I didn't much care about how something looked but only about practicality and defensive value.
In those early days I planned to cross the ocean in search of adventure, an idea I got from watching paulsoaresjr Let's Play videos. I was gonna have shipyards at both end. Only, in the midst of constructing the yard in question I changed my mind and decided to concentrate on the landmass where I spawned.
You've changed so much already I hardly recognize the place. Is that bit of dirt road seen in the foreground the remains of my work?
