I was at my stronghold a little bit ago cannibalizing all the mossy/cracked stone bricks and I found a set of spiral staircases completely walled off. literally would have never found it if I wasn't breaking the place apart. No doors in or out and at the bottom I found something I have never seen before.
-snip-
I've seen plenty of libraries in strongholds, but never one with two levels. Extra neat because it was a hidden room.
Mmmm, love the stronghold libraries, especially the two storey ones. Really awesome feeling in those...
Btw, your world is very nice. I have it as inspiration for my current survival world since I was looking into some new building styles. Really like all the sandstone though, definitely going to integrate some into my next few builds!

Be prepared if you plan to do it legit. Sandstone is one of the nicest looking building blocks IMO, but it's also one of the more tedious materials to collect.

Don't worry, I always play legit so I'm not afraid of some grinding. I only just started this world but I already have a rather expansive sand quarry. Almost a full double chest of sand already!
Great world! I really like how pretty much everything is sandstone. One thing you could do is build a floating island and use that to house a sky mob trap, I think that would look pretty awesome.

Harry Potter is all about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity.
Twilight is all about how important it is to have a boyfriend.
I have a good feeling about the new map. Spent around an hour and a half caving, trying to hoard resources to get started and I've already found an abandoned mineshaft and a couple ravines to lava level.

I think it went pretty well:

That was only caving, no branch mining?
You're damn lucky....
i really wish i could stand playing alone, on the many servers ive been on ive made so many cool things, but my ssp world is just terrible. torn landscape from my years of tnt cannon experiments, readstone creatations spewn about, no real fortress.
i cant play alone..so distracted...your place look great!
Sorry, didn't realize this got bumped back up. The seed (360964795) doesn't quite generate this map anymore. The area I was building in is 1.0 terrain. The ravine is still there, as well as all the spawners, but the biomes are all different. The ravine was in a forest, which is now plains. The desert has been replaced with jungle, and extreme jungle hills (no temple). All told the landscape is quite different, aside from the ravine itself.
Great work, I always like to see other people's survival builds and look at their farming techniques. Could you elaborate on the design of the melon farm? I'm assuming the farm is piston and red stone driven. I like the way the water conveys all of the melon chunks to one spot.

I've never needed graph paper before till this very moment in Minecraft. Glass Dome Project

I could probably do an adequate job of explaining how it works, but the original designer of the system can undoubtedly do better:
If you're not already familiar with DocM, you're welcome, you've been missing out. His world World Tour is crazy good.

Look forward to seeing the new project too!
