Built it, looks amazing, I made mine in a Jungle tree. But I planted a bunch of them together, Then built it into the leaves. Thank you for the tutorial!
A nice, quick, easy tutorial to make an awesome house. I do have a few things I'd change though:
* Replace the wool that makes up the walls with wooden planks, especially since early on some players might not be able to get wool easily while wooden planks would be plentiful.
* Replace the wool flooring with carpet. It would even use the same amount of wool anyway, since the recipe for carpets is a 3 wool used and 3 carpets obtained
* Use a pressure plate on a fence instead of the piston. Same reason as replacing the wool walls with wooden planks. And it would be consistent.
* Put a cauldron and maybe a brewing stand in the kitchen
* Maybe make a way into a basement
I actually plan to make this in my modded survival world, and will utilize some mods like Chisel and Carpenters blocks to make it, so I'll edit this post with some pictures of it when I'm done.
This house is really nice and all but only problem is when i add the netherrack to the chimny and light it. Bye bye house. See you in the nether. I advice instead of whool u use quarts. Other than that this house is graat and i thank you for your help.
The fire mechanics changed in 1.7 so that the fire will spread at a further distance. This house WILL burn down now, even if you follow the instructions precisely. This really sucks, since I like the look of this a lot.
Read the original post. It's DokuCraft: The Saga Continues.
