Hmm, Alright, Finland here (well, obviously..), but alright. Then you could maybe do more research then me, but i'd be glad to help with the payment (as long as it doesn't cost wayyyyyyyyy too much). I also suppose my connection is fairly good, since I am playing on an American server (At least the mods / admins w/e are Americans) atm, no lag.
The only thing that's gonna bug me is probably the time difference.. gmt+2 here (3.30 am atm), and I got work whole summer, and I will have work + school after mid-august, so I would rarely be able to play on the same time as you, if at all. I also have 2 of the final exams sometimes in September, the rest are in late February, so that would take even more of my spare time, which might make me temp. quit Minecraft, and obviously I don't like to pay for something I don't use, but until then, it's a long time.
If you could get it working, could I get in on the server too? I think i'm one of the people who suggested it, and want to help make things look nice

Emily, absolutely beautiful! Your houses are too. Thank you for sharing these; it's so refreshing to see style, detail and realism of this sort in Minecraft, very Inspirational! Please continue to share your inspirations with us. :smile.gif:
GideonW; That is a fantastic property you have made!
Also: If normal pistons (in vanilla) are placed facing up, set into the floor and extended, they make nice looking little tables. The added bonus is being able to flip a lever and have all the tables retract into the floor making the space available for dancing! ;D
btw: I hope for the sake of all these wonderful wood/log house designs that the new "silverfish.png" in Minecraft is not a wood eating mob like many think it is... :sad.gif: If it is then now might be the time to start asking jeb & notch about it so that you can make your concerns heard before 1.8 is let loose.

aw thanks so much! I don't think they eat wood just paper and glue products.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverfish
" Silverfish consume matter that contains polysaccharides, such as starches and dextrin in adhesives.[4] These include glue, book bindings, plaster, some paints, paper, photos, sugar, coffee, hair, carpet, clothing and dandruff. Silverfish can also cause damage to tapestries. Other substances that may be eaten include cotton, linen, silk, synthetic fibres and dead insects or even its own exuvia (moulted exoskeleton). During famine, a silverfish may even attack leatherware and synthetic fabrics. Silverfish can live for a year or more without eating.[2][4]
Silverfish are considered a household pest, due to their consumption and destruction of property.[2] Although they are responsible for the contamination of food and other types of damage, they do not transmit disease.[4][14]"

Good news! Let's hope Mojang doesn't get to liberal in their interpretation. :wink.gif: Many people in the silverfish threads seem to think that the silverfish mobs will possibly eat wood. What you posted gives me some peace of mind though, thanks.

yup! they are also non aggressive from what i've read up on them, so i'm puzzled at what use they have in the game.. Mojang has been hinting at a new "scary" mob and these are harmless unless you're a book :tongue.gif: it's puzzling.. maybe this is to throw us off the trail of something else?
interesting info, there are 4 different species of silverfish but the most interesting is the firebrat, it's the same as a silverfish but loves heat and are found in bakeries and near boilers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firebrat

I don't really see how silverfish are scary. Now creepers are scary...

It would be scary if the Minecraft version comes from the nether and slips through the portal behind you and DOES eat wood.. Might be a little scary, heh heh. :wink.gif: Kind of like the Soul-Leeches I made up in another thread, except that wood wasn't what those would consume.. :wink.gif:
Yw! :tongue.gif: lemme know if you need help with any of it
Oh ya, emily, do you build these houses on SMP servers or is it your own personal world?
