hhggngn that tilt shift-esque look looks sooooo good.
Mind sharing what you do/did? Image manipulation isn't exactly my forte, so I'm interested in what techniques you utilized.
I really just do whatever feels right. I don't have a proper formula. o Ao
Though to get the tilt-shift look, I hit Q to enter quick mask mode, use a black & white gradient to set what areas will be blurred and what won't, exit quick mask by hitting Q again, and then use the Lens Blur filter, usually on a low setting.
On top of that, I tend to use a lot of naturally-coloured gradients on various layer settings (I use multiply & soft light & screen the most), fill layers on similar settings, and just straight up colour brushing.
I do it all in Photoshop, and I don't use any Minecraft mods beyond alternate texture packs. (:
Edit to add/not double post:
Hopefully gonna have some new pics tonight.
I'm waiting for my friend to get online so I can take some shots in our little server. <3
Yaaaaay new content at last!
I took several pictures tonight that I'll be editing and posting maybe one or two a day, so I don't spam.
The entrance to an in-the-works underground troll village. Built by my boyfriend on our friend's server. I tried to make it look swampy--the random lights are meant to emulate fireflies--but I don't know how well it worked out. Constructive crit is loved. <33
I've been trying to do this, but i can't seem to edit them good enough, and taking out the inv/hand is annoying.
I'd really like to be able to make some wallpapers (1024x768) that are of great scenery like that, with sunsets and such, and nice editing that look superb, with no stupid hand and inv slots in the way.
I have a picture here, that I just took of something that I've wanted to make as wallpaper for some time, and had it built for some time, nothing spectacular, but just cause I like the logo, do you think you could just run over it and touch it up some?
The Heinrick picture is absolutely beautiful, it's my wallpaper. Even stretched it looks great. That could easily be a scene with hal4.ogg in the backround.

I am horrible at editing.
I'd really appreciate it!

Yes that looks much better! I like the blur around the edges and the sharpening of the glowstone, thank you!
