"Can you point to the object that represents a resilient parasite of an idea caught in the tangled nature of the subconscious human mind? Thaaaat's right!"
Hey guys sorry if I have an excessive amount of links :tongue.gif: Can some people private message me and critisize my house? This is my first semi big project and I would like to know what I can improve on. Thanks. :biggrin.gif:
This is smallish version of my pyramid of fire. I rushed it and its not perfectly symmetrical, but I think it looks ok. Its all netherrack since its so easy to mine. The biggest cost is the 25 or so flint and steel I wasted on it. If I go the full height of 64 or more it may be harder to get the materials.
Also I tried 'helter skelter' as a seed and I got craploads of clay. Enough to build a four story brick house. Also has plenty of cactus/reeds. Anyone else have any good seed names recently?
Just a new project of mine. It's going to be a self-contained little world (or something else, since I've changed my mind a dozen times already).
Outside shell showing the entrance tunnel (I think it needs to be bigger) and the observation platform above it.
And the interior, showing the transport tubes (or two of them anyway) along with the junction (dunno what to make of it yet, so it's just a crossroads of sorts).
Putting all of those torches up is gonna kill me x.x I've already spent a week on this up to now.

How did you achieve such a perfect ellipsoid?
It's actually a small portion of a massive Torus (I wanted to use the whole thing, but I'm sure you can imagine how big it is based on that small piece). I used a program called Minecraft Structure Planner. You can find it here http://minecraftstructureplanner.com/ and here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82736.
Greetings everyone! This is my first post on the forums, although I have been reading them for some time now. This is my first large WIP. It's going to be a rather large castle. Big suprise, I know. I've built many castles and houses before, but nothing of this size. It's definately not 100% legit. I've been working on it off and on for 3 weeks now and it keeps growing in scale. Right now I've only got the great hall and some of the outer walls. I think it's finally shaping up the way I would like. What do you think?
Still a lot of work to do:
● Build the main gate
● Build the front turrets
● Fill in the courtyard and include a fountain and a greenhouse
● Build the basement for storage and workshops
● Build the library and the grand dinning hall
● Build the bedrooms and (maybe) a throne room
● Furnish the whole darn thing

A view of the skylights on the roof of the Great Hall.
Looking down on (what will be) the courtyard and the path to the main gate.
