The walls of the Pantheon are about 20 feet thick to support the weight of the dome... you should probably make them about 6 blocks thick. :tongue.gif:

Already done. The outer wall is 58m and the inner wall is 44m. Just like the real deal.
i've finished the domus, hope you like it. I Changed the floorplan a bit because i had to ad stairs to the second floo. The floor on the ground level has some partially finished mosaics but other then that it is done.
Very nice! You did a great job and it looks very good! If you want it included in our city (as per the original contest post) you will have to sent it to me in some fashion, either using McEdit's schematic saver or by finding a way to send it to me otherwise.
Speaking of which, we will release this city to public as soon as we finish all of our planned areas. Which will be in quite a while. :tongue.gif:

i build it to be included, and if it is alright the schematic is included on the planet minecraft page
snipey
I made a Historical Roman Fort (not too scale!) It took me about an hour to finish with Signs and everything.
The Front Gate.
General's Tent.
Legionare's Tent, with Bedrolls.
View of the entire Fort. Its a bit empty in the middle but I was busy making Port Royal shortly after I made the outside.
I realize that the scouts would have cut down the trees so that enemies couldnt hide dehind them. But this isnt a very large project so I didnt see the point in spending an extra hour chopping down all the trees.
I DID use INVedit to make this.

Double FPS? hurray!
Now i can run Minecraft with 6 FPS!!
i also tried building an insula
this one actualy was my second attempt because the first one turned out smaller than the domus i made.
its not finished yet but its almost done. View Roman Insula
Absolutely fantastic! I will include this as soon as it is done! Insulae made up the bulk of interior Ancient Rome, so I need as many Insulae as possible (but they can't be identical!)

Very good! I am planning on making forts out in the middle of nowhere as safety posts myself. I like how you used mainly tree trunks as your building material - that is very much correct!

I would quite like to have a go at making one of them. i could also make you an Equestrian house and a Patrician Palace.
Go for it. Hopefully soon we will complete a good enough portion to release via download or by server.
I love it, but wasnt the parathon the greeck temple to athen, and wasnt it in greece? or do i have my ancient temples mixed up
Yes, but the Romans had plenty of temples that mimicked the Greek design (Parthenon for instance, does exist only in Athens, but the Romans made similar variations). The Pantheon however was a Roman invention.
You heard that, green and red.

Wow that bathhouse turned out sweet. Also, Imperial Palace concrete slab is not nearly big enough.
Our City!

MOD EDIT: You could have left out that last line. User warned for flaming.
