I was kinda "Meh..." until you walked into your "Pantheon" (or however you spelled it).
That circular room literally made my mouth fall open. Beautiful.

The rest of the buildings are quite Meh, yes, mostly because the Romans did not really decorate their regular housing. Most didn't even have exterior windows!
The Pantheon is STILL a work in progress, as we are decorating the dome entirely and adding alcoves, columns, and other fancy things.
Thank you for the compliment.

Nice. You should build things from other countrys conquered by rome too, like forts in Greece and Egypt
Planning on it after we finish rome.

Well if it isn't my favorite texture pack! I actually hadn't watched the video until now, and wow. The Map doesn't do it justice. How long is the "Circus Minimus"?
Circus Minimus is only 125m long, as it did not have a large priority over other things. Also we had little room to spare. The actual Circus Maximus is around 900m long, and we felt that a track longer than our viewing distance would look pretty funky.. and be a pain to lay out. So I went 1/9 scale. :smile.gif:
i know it would e hard to watch for greifers but at least let a couple people help lol like me :wink.gif: and just let me stay near you i have teamspeak and vent and im an older person (21) so im no child
The first one to build me a historically accurate Roman Domus may send me the McEdit schematic for it, and it will be included in the ROMECRAFT CITY! Woohoo! Likewise, if you build me a Roman Insula, it will also be included. That's right, two possibilities for the entry into the city of Romecraft! Remember, it must be as historically accurate as you can make it. Also important: Brick must be used for the roof, and it is suggested that the sides be made out of plain wool.
Why is this any good? Because I plan on distributing this city once is gets large enough. Contributions will only bring it to a releasable state faster :wink.gif:
Hide mob spawners in different parts of the city, encase the entire city in a large dome and make it eternally dark, then we can march in and pretend to be legionnaires trying to free Rome from the clutches of the undead.
Hey there :smile.gif:

ROMECRAFT!!!!!
I am currently building a 1 metre 1 block colosseum and circus maximus! looks like someone beat me to it. I have a lot of access to very awesome materials (plans wise) for roman buildings, so give me a shout if you ever need a hand or any plans. And one last thing. I bow my head to you, gentlemen :smile.gif: AMAZING STUFFS :biggrin.gif:
Thank you very much! Also good luck on the Colosseum, I am saving that for much later when I have the inspiration for such a mega-structure. Also yes, two other Colosseums have been made to scale by others.

Also, added before and after pictures to the OP!
YAY! looks like a lot of work has gone into this project. Another project idea of mine(patent pending :tongue.gif:) is to create the city of Babylon :smile.gif:
i've stated working on a Domus but i have a feeling it is getting to big
this is what I have so far (all cobble for now since im not sure about materials either)
what materials should i use so it will fit in with the rest?
I do like your floorplan, very well done! The materials I use for these buildings are wool, actually. I use plain wool for the walls, wood for the floors, and brick for the roof.
Its looking great, and actually is not all that big. My Domi are very large.

The framing of this circle on the ground
Brings whirlwinds, tempests, thunder and lightning.
Perhaps the contest will impress me enough to gather more workers. Show me how well you build!
