wow that's sick, just sick...
if i'd see that in the nether i'd **** bricks.
if i'd see that in the overworld i'd **** bricks, pee my pants and cum in my own face, all at the same time.
Remember kids, if you bother to invent math, make sure you put your powers in the right places. And now I'm doing math again, what is my problem?
Ghasts are in fact 4x4x4, go wiki!
Your ghast uses 1352 wool blocks, while the standard ghast uses 64. Ironically, this is the exact number used in the math.com tutorial on how to find the area of a cube.
1352/64=21.12500
So you could actually fit a little over 21 ghasts in there.
I got a C in Algebra II.
Are you talking about the volume of the giant!Ghast as a whole, or are you computing it by the actual volume inside? If you're trying to fit ghasts into a box that snugly fits the giant one inside, then you'd have 16^3 = 4096 m^3 to fit them in, which is space for 64 tentacle-less ghasts. The 1352 is the number of blocks used to build the model because OP is conserving resources by making it hollow with one-block walls. If you were looking for how many tentacle-less ghasts could fit inside of giant!Ghast, then you'd be looking at the inner volume which is 14^3 = 2744.
So if you wanted to fill it with amputated ghasts, you could fit (14^3) / (4^3) = 2744 / 64 = 42.875, or 42 ghasts with a little breathing room. Theoretically. Because the space inside is only big enough for 3.5 ampughasts stacked in any dimension, then if mobs cannot be cut in half you'd only be able to fit 3^3 = 27 of them inside the giant wool box.
And all this before OP doubles the size of giant!Ghast in order to make tentacles!

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. (Source)
Anything built within Minecraft, using only Minecraft, without using bugs, is legit.
If you don't want to build mob traps, that's fine. Just don't tell us it's cheating.
It's a floating island with trees on it :smile.gif:
(some other things in my pic: at the bottom is the trap I designed. Pressure plates close adjacent doors. Mods go in but they don't come out. Also, I have that very long cactus wall. I have a lot of cacti . Spawned in a desert.)
View from below. The floating blocks was an aesthetic choice. Oh, did I mention this thing is a weapon?
Five TnT load. But, I can't get enough TnT to use it very often. Drops TnT down the hole. First TnT punts the others to the side.
View from the bottom of the hole. Haven't reached Bedrock yet due to limited resources.

The Sun rises in the North!
Now these points of data make a beautiful line...
Idea: Make a ghast of the same scale, but different materials. Smooth stone would be the white, cobble would be the gray and obsidian the black. Make a lava fall pour out of it's maw. The choice of materials would make it fireproof!

That wouldn't match the colors nearly as exactly, though.
No variety of pinks so no awesome pigs.
No browns(except dirt) so no awesome cows.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. inb4.
Also, there are pinks. Well, there's a pink and a purple... And a light purple/dark pink.
I have to say that your ghast was so epic, that I needed to copy the idea. Although mine is not quite as epic as yours, since I made it on my SMP and hacked in the wool for it (but then dyed it all by hand), however, I think I do score a bit of epic points, for facing it at my husband's house and building a flaming ball of death as well, so when he walked out his door that night, the first thing he saw was a ghast spitting a giant fireball at his house. I think he soiled himself a bit.
Unforunately I am at work, and cannot post a screen shot. I will try to later. :biggrin.gif: My hat is off to you Sir, for your epic idea.
Awh, that's made out of wool.. here you got my hopes up. Here's mine though. :smile.gif:
1. Yes, I know my texture pack is broken. I'm in the nether.
2. It's legit. I can link the vid I screencapped it from if you want it. I still have the original .avi file I recorded this on and the .wmv I had to do to compress it down.

What are you talking about? There's no troll here?
I think you may have posted in the wrong thread.
Please explain what you mean by trolling? I've never heard anyone in this thread even act close to a troll? Are you maybe talking about his title? That title was awkward, yes, but still. What?
was was referring to the -Edits as 'Godmode'. I don't see anything wrong with peaceful...I just don't use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Whoops, my bad. Good point. Editing is indeed Fun Mode/God Mode.

Your opinion is wrong, because it's based on a factual error. Using existing game mechanics as intended is about as close to "cheating" as using the microwave to cook instead of the oven.
Well said, Sir. If I knew where that famous Gif of people applauding, I would post it.

Wait, if inside every Ghast is a smaller Nether, then inside that Nether must be a smaller Ghast, which has a smaller Nether inside it, which has a smaller Ghast with another smaller Nether inside it, which has a smaller Ghast with another- *universe implodes*
It would also mean that there are infinitely smaller and larger Ghasts. Now all we need are Ghast spawners for the mouth.

I guess it's like a scarecrow of some sorts, but instead of warding off birds it wards off pigmen and zombies and all those dirty folk.
