About the only thing done on this is the pirate flag and the captain quarters. Everything else still needs to be decorated. What boats are you guys building?

People who "prefer 'blocky' light" only feel that way because they're used to it, like a little boy in an impoverished third world country would prefer his jagged garbage swamp tin hut because that's the only home he's ever known.
I currently have no ship.. But I do have a rather large oceanic type thing in front of my many creations..

On second thought, I'll build a counterpart to that Pirate Ship.
Complete with at least ONE working Cannon... ****.. how am I gonna do this.. lol

Use the design of a Spanish Gallion or a Royal Navy flagship. Both pretty big, big enough for at least one minecraft cannon.
I might need to get around to building one myself. This won't be the last you see of me in this topic...

This is a ship that I built not too long ago. I started off trying to model a galleon or caravel, but the front ended up a little too pointed for that. I think it's pretty nice anyway. I also created a dark version with red and black sails and darker wood.
One trick I have learnt is to use fences as ropes connecting all of the sails, and to create the sails by using layered rings.

Most of it was farmed but that's a SMP server that has economy so I sold a bunch of stuff to get it as well.
