Man these are epic. Right now a friend and I are working an entire landmass in a fantasy viking style fashion. We've made a trade/harbor town and a village and we plan on making an elven tree city, dungeons and an old city in ruin where a tribe of Bandits lives. It's not huge or epic it's more or less being built for adventure and exploration.

It is not that i do not want to, it's just simply that I don't care
I shall someday post something on this thread, first...need a PC capable of rendering an epic structure and still allow me to continue building :laugh.gif:
Probably a lot less impressive since I liberally used MCEdit and InvEdit...but I think it looks good. And it was fun to build.
It's a bit beyond my draw distance...
A closer look:
The rather empty interior:
And finally the Cartograph:
I'm using Eld's texture pack along with BetterLight. It's based very loosely off of Moscow's Crystal Island, a megastructure (in real life) that is in the planning phase. Look it up if you want some inspiration; it's spectacular and looks a lot better than this Minecraft structure.
I started working on a weird house inside somewhere, but I don't think I like how it turned out. Anyway, here's the save since people requested it: http://dl.dropbox.co...6/MC/World5.zip Disclaimer: the interior is not even close to finished; there's tons of empty space. Also there isn't an entrance yet, so you have to climb out on dirt blocks or something. And there's lots of spots mobs can spawn, so set it on peaceful if you don't want issues.
That is possibly the most epic thing I have ever seen. Well, at least in the top ten.
Oh yeah, here's my epic creation (note that it's still under heavy work):
Some more top side:
Here, have some screen shots to help you make up your mind:
Use 7-Zip or other .7z compatible archive program to unzip it.
It's not 100% complete to what I'd like it to be, but the release is long overdue. It's not an adventure map per se, but it is meant to have adventures in it.
Since the build height increased, I decided to use MCEdit to make the world tree talller. It's not perfect, but it is what it is.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread.
There should be a biome with trees just like that. Epic treehouse.

And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge... Rumor turned into myth... myth turned into legend, and legend gave rumor and myth amiss, and went straight into autumn. ...Wait, what?
First of my bridge:
Now for my temple:
The rest of the floors upwards, and maby downwards later, are not finished.
My modern house:
As you can see to the rigth there is also going to be a railway station.
Ty let me hear what you think :smile.gif:
