I agree with quoting entire posts with images. :tongue.gif:
And Me2005, can you post more pictures of different sides? And then maybe say what you used to build it? I would like to steal that.
I'm glad you like it. Here's the shots:
And some details:
It may look slightly different- that is because the server reset at beta release and that town got wiped. The base is a 5x6 rectangle, with a kind of '#' shape because of the buttresses at the corners. The whole thing is 14.5 blocks high (top of castling) including 2 block basement, and the first floor has 1-block high windows while the next floor has 2-block high windows. I usually keep a furnace and a crafting bench on the bottom floor, and there is space for one-three large chests on the upper floor (depending on how you place half-blocks).
Looks like the total mining list is this: 374 cobble (12 to make 8 stairs, 144 for half blocks, 181 cobble, and 37 for smooth stone), something like 16 logs (door, 4 fences, 13 ladders, torches), 4 or more coal, 36 lightstone, and 17 sand (glass). The flagpole is a lightstone on top of a fence-post that is 5-10M high, with a 1 fence gap between the lightstone and the flag. The flag itself is 6 wool- I'm really hoping that the ability to dye wool comes soonish so that I can make my flags custom to me
To stave off additional questions; the texture pack is my own personal pack (that I posted but am not sure is download-able), the buildings in the background are prototypes for a governor's mansion (when the server I play on comes back online) and a lighthouse (that is too short).
Finally,i have a base thats finished 99% (the other 1% is the 1st floor which needs fancypack...no beta compatible yet D: )
ok so my house is what i like to call The opposite house:
Its wood and cobblestone! omg wtf pig in my pic
The first floor, which is in need of fancy pack!
The second floor, which has furnaces,a workbench, and chests for dirt and wood and rocks
The third floor, and in the middle is the half-half fountain
The wooden side balcony!
And last but not least, the cobblestone side pool!
I hope you guys like it :3

I think it would be a good idea if people didn't post stuff that isn't 50% complete yet. If it's still in preliminary construction, it's not going to look nice.

u could travel the seas building a actual moving boat
One of my attempts at Building something great, it took me countless hours of mining, especially for the lightstone dust. The design is based on End of Line Club which was in Tron Legacy, this design is not accurate what so ever. I was working off of an image from the movie trailer. I only used Mcedit, to clear out the area where I decided to place the building.

The Outside of the building (I Know its dark and foggy)

Looking up at the main dance floor

This was the dance floor before the Dj booth and speakers where added
kinda far away is looking at the back of the house.
The building in the upper right is a 3 car garage with a covered walkway leading to the kitchen. Theres also a circle driveway. I stopped playing this world but I was going to add gardens and trees to the front yard and fill in some of that water to make a pool. Also I was going to grow a reed fence and maybe make a small farm and wall the whole thing in with sand for some privacy.
All the walls are sand with netherrack for the main building roof and soul sand as the courtyard roof.
I believe aesthetically pleasing homes images fall under the category of Beta Survival pictures, right? Pointless topic, post your pictures here instead.

No. That thread is for pictures of natural thing you find, or little houses that you make.
This thread is all about visually pleasing homes and structures. There is a complete difference in the two.

They didn't have a problem when it was in the alpha survival forums so hush now and please leave.

Talk to her. What is the worst that could happen?
She kicks him in the nuts, then pulls out a sawed off and shoots him in the face?
There's also a mine and a mountain house, but they're not near finished yet. Thoughts?

i couldnt read a word said here...
Does anyone else get an erection (a hardened penis) while playing Minecraft? Sorry to be rude or vulgar but sometimes I get so excited from running away from Creepers (which look like green penises) that I masturbate.
A couple months ago after finishing another project in my world, I asked my girlfriend what I should build next. She said that I should build the castle at the end of Super Mario Bros. World 1-1. So I did, with a few extra walkways and such.

Theres like 3 different block types in that house.. so ugly :c
Give it more of a variety, and mix and match patterns that loook good.

Doesn't really fit into the category of aesthetically pleasing
It looks kinda nice to me, if it was in a great natural setting with mossy cobble instead of regular cobble it would fit the bill
