Hey, I'm Frost. Sadly, this page has been discontinued and this will be the final update on here, as of 8/27/2014. No, I am not discontinuing the rig in any way. To tell the truth, I'm actually currently working on Version 4 of the rig, which should be a very exciting update for those who use the current versions. If you have been linked here rather from the forums or from the past videos, the links have been updated and you can not really access past versions as easily anymore. When future updates are released, they will not be announced here and the version count + video will no-longer be updated. However, the download link in the sections below will always have the up to date download. Hopefully this has been explained well enough.
Thanks for being so amazing.

I have made a tradition to show a video tour of every version released, so people know how to use what I've added and also see it in action.
Downloads
Installation
To install the rig, first find the location of your Cinema 4D directory. Usually, it is installed in your default drive's Program Files folder, but it may be changed if you chose to. Once found, go to Cinema 4D R--\library\browser. Then, use a file extracting program such as WinRar or 7Zip to extract the .lib4d file for the rig. This can also be done by windows, but I recommend using 3rd party software as it is better in the long run. Lastly, take the rig's .lib4d, drag it into the browser folder you opened, and you're finished. To import the rig, open the content browser within Cinema 4D and double click the character to add it. To change skins, there is instruction in the given Setting Up Rig file within the download.

Update Progress
We're all up to date on my work. Bug fixes will be rolling out via Twitter @xiFrost21
Though not needed, credit is greatly appreciated. Also, let me know what you make with the rig by posting pictures/videos as a reply to this! I love seeing people's creations

^^^ Nice rig! Teeth spacing, like the one seen in this render of my rig is very easy, too. VVV
[Not very visible in this picture] All you need to do is put the teeth in a cloner, set the X axis of the main tooth to 3.125, set the cube X length to whatever you want the teeth spacing to be (I do ~3.25, a little over 3.125 cm) and then set how much teeth you want.I recommend these settings:Hope I helped with that! Comes from a rigger who has rigged since June 23rd. (Old friends with Anishwij, we don't talk anymore, I got a new skype.)

I imagine that you made that first picture with my rig, so nice job! and I do have teeth spacing on my personal rig that will not be released but the teeth spacing will be in the next update. I do it with boole but the cloner idea is great! Thank you

The first picture was with your rig~And WeedLion himself said that boole teeth aren't good to me ^~^ I just went for a cloner approach as he said himself to do (even though he uses boole).

Hm. I suppose I can give it a try next time I go messing with the rig again. Thanks for the idea

No problem! One last thing I'd recommend (just out of my ideas) is a stretchy type of fancy feet, where it still rotates and molds the same way, but in all general, it will be able to do wacky things like this:And when you rotate it, you can do this:

Actually been trying to learn how to do this for a while. Seriously, thanks for these ideas.
I have two questions!. How do i animate the mouth movements. i am trying everything i can. But it seems to not animate the facial expressions.
Also i am having trouble with UV mapping "Sorry if it isn't allowed to edit the model" But i want to edit the model so My goggles on my steampunk skin are 3d instead of flat. Everytime i go into UV map editing it seems to not work at all.
Example of my problem is here.
Also it is very generous of you giving out this hard work for free. You are truly a very kind person It's mostly appreciated. Also the rig could actually help out people getting used to the program (like myself). Keep up this excellent work!
I'll do my best to try to answer everything you need
To animate the mouth, it's like all rigs. Just click the first Character object in the list, and all the controls are put at the bottom right by default. If you mean to actually make it move and do stuff like lip sync, you would rather turn on auto-keyframing or whenever you need a keyframe, set the data and whatever you changed, hit CTRL+LEFT CLICK on the little grey dot to the side of the control. If it turns red, that means you have successfully added a keyframe.
For the extrusion, you will have to individually UV map all the texture problems. I'd just suggest looking up how to make 3D Minecraft hair in Cinema 4D on YouTube. I learned from a guy named Void Animations, which it's very easy to follow and should do what you want I may also be adding a 3D hat layer in the future, but I would need a lot of time. Last, when you model the hair/use the hair, just drop it into the Head null to let it attach to the head.
Bahah thanks a lot. Means a ton. I also will be rolling out v1.5 very soon. It is done, but I will make a video and release it when the video is out.
I personally think it's the best version i've made yet
I've always wanted to have a rig with fingers and supports Second Layers, but i'll give this a try
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

Excellent! Thank for the reply! Much appreciated! Also can't wait for 1.5! Going to be sweet i hope . Also here is some renders i did with your rig.
2nd one
I hope you enjoyed these!
It did not. Can you also have a DL for a .obj file?
Well, I tried exporting and it failed. It just came up with the body parts and they didn't even show up once imported. I can provide a .c4d if that would help the conversion?

Look awesome! Thanks for using the rig
I do know how to model fingers, but not how to map them. They may be in v2.0
Thanks! I look forward to using some of your tips in v2.0
Great rig!
Aha hope the conversion goes good
