Thank you for the great screensaver, is there any chance you could make a second download that installs the two screen-savers separately instead of alternating between them. I find that the one that replicates the opening screen with the falling stone blocks is VERY laggy... And I generally just prefer the rotating block anyways. Normally I just go without a screensaver but if this was an option I would definitely use the rotating block screensaver.
In the screensaver settings, you can tell it to just use the rotating block. Also, the screensaver lags for me if I use a background.
Edit: It would be cool if the rotating block would bounce around the screen.

As Xakel said you can change it in the options. By default it randomly picks one of the first two modes. The screensaver has been designed to be as customisable as possible.

Do you have any other OpenGL applications running at the same time (Like Minecraft)? I find on my PC that if Minecraft is running then it can go slow(I assume Minecraft eats up all the resources).

I have an idea. Maybe you could have all kinds of block types falling from the top of the screen to the bottom, all doing the rotatey thing.
Hmm, thats an interesting idea. If done it would proberly be best if the blocks were different sizes (So it looked like it was "Snowing" blocks).
Roller Coaster Mode (both random and prebuild by user)
That thing deadmau5 did during his show with the pigs running over the partial cube he was standing behind*
Tetris is a good idea. Added to my Todo list (No Guarantee i will do it but it has a good chance now its on the list)
Roller Coaster could work on maps made by the user. The problem with automatically generated stuff if that assuming it actually found a path to travel along which worked it would proberly be a rubbish path.
I have thought about doing a mode that had mobs. I at least would like to add a mode where you can see a player character (Skinable) running or something.
I like the tetris idea. Each type of piece could be a different (or random) material.

Good. Seems like the screensaver selector can't run applications that request administration rights(Which i generally make my apps ask for it as without it you can then have errors if your app tries to do something that the UAC thinks should require admin rights). Oh how i despise the UAC.
The installer has been updated to now include the updated ssmci.scr . No other changes.
@SkiPiiT and Galaksee: Please re-download the installer(Or overwrite the ssmci.scr with This (in Windows\System32\)).
Well firstly, I didnt have a ssmci.scr to override, and secondly when I put this file in my system32 folder my norton antivirus basically said "HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

Are you pressing the Empty Block button? If so thats why its getting cleared. You don't need to press any save button, the instance you change something its changed in the screensaver (Though its only truely saved when you hit Preview or close the config screen)

Don't see why it wouldn't let you (The user) change stuff in System32, yet it lets my installer(Which for all it knows could be evil) change stuff in System32....
im not pressing the empty block button, i just click on another block and when i click back on my custom block its gone, even the name. Also, the enter name feild only lets me type 1 letter; i have to re-select it to add another letter.

Are you trying to type a name into one of the dropdown lists in the Rotating Cube or Minecraft Logo section? If so you need to create custom blocks in the "Block Types" Section rather than dropdown list. Dropdown lists shouldn't let you enter a name into them(I realise that they do).
I don't own one. So without being able to test it, i can't develop a native one. I could in theory write one for the mac though as the Free Pascal Compiler (Which im currently not using) supports porting to mac's and everything i use (Like OpenGL) is platform independent.
You should however be able to get it running on Macs if you use WINE (Which as far as i know also runs on Mac's), but i don't know if you could get WINE ran screensavers to be launched by the system after a certain time period.
im still getting the same problem, maybe add a "save dat" button? also, what is terrainlist.txt.

Well it makes no sense. It doesn't need to save anything. Its stored in memory. When you select an image for a cubes side it changes the side in memory. There is nothing that wipes that out of the memory unless you press the empty button.
terrainlist.dat is not used. Its just a list of images like the backgroundlist.dat is for the Background Image List, but it was going to be used so you could have a list of Terrain.png files to select from instead of being limited to one.

um, but everything EXCEPT the block types page works. even modifying existing blocks will snap back to the last in memory... i dont think it will let me modify the memory for the block types.

I have updated the Screensaver so it now saves the Block Types before it starts the preview. As not much has changed i have left the version number at 1.5 .
What file do you need to open in order to get the program open to edit the options and such for the screensaver. The only files I have are the installer/uninstaller, mcidata folder, and ssmci item that starts the screensaver when you open it.
