Hmm, Well first off, Love your screensaver and thanks for making it.
Well first off, The screen saver is rather slow and freeze-y and when it closes it gives me this error
Your graphics card drivers are not properly installed. "GDI Generic" is a fallback driver windows uses when your graphics card drivers are either missing, not installed properly or are corrupt. It is a very basic OpenGL Driver which is slow and doesn't contain alot of OpenGL Features (It doesn't contain much of the 1.0 Specification).
So basically you would need to install your Graphics Card drivers. If you have a Desktop then you would need to goto your Graphics Card makers website (I.E NVidia/ATI) and download drivers there but if you have a Laptop then you need to goto your Laptop makers website(I.E Toshiba) and download drivers from there.
If you don't install your cards drivers then all OpenGL applications that you use will be slower than they should and alot will either not work or be buggy.

Again, Thanks very much and have a nice day.

Hey i have a problem when ever it trys to go into the screen saver it just shows my backround and the screen saver dosnt come up and i have to do ctrl alt delet to get out of it anyone else have this problem and can i fix it?
Hey, I downloaded this and installed it, but it wont come on. for a test i set it up to run after 1 minute, waited about 3, and still nothing. Is there a setting i should check in power settings, or another magical setting i don't know about? I am running windows vista 32 bit OS. And im on an dell xps if that helps at all. Nvidia graphics card. Thanks for the help, it looks great, i just wish my computer would cooperate with me sometimes
I LOVE this screensaver. But I found a bug: I imported Subtitles from MC, and one of the subtitles say: Now supports åäö! In Minecraft it works, but in the screensaver it only shows Now supports ! I think the screensaver doesnt support åäö. Irony, isnt it?
The next version will support that line. I will try and update the font system so that it supports the new system (Minecraft's font system changed when they added different languages, though they still seem to contain the old font stuff in the Minecraft.jar) in time for the next screensaver release. The new system supports alot more characters.

it wont let me do anything with it. am i the only one who has this problem?
With v2.0 the mob settings were never finished off, so you currently can't change the settings.

In the bit you select which screensaver you want to display in windows click on "Settings" and then click on the Preview button on the screensavers settings window. Does it apear right? When you close the screensaver's settings window after the preview do you get any errors?

Find the screensaver on your hard drive (Which should defaultly be in Windows\System32\) and right click on it and select "Test". If it runs then its not likely anything to do with the Screensaver. Applications can block screensavers from running, mainly things like games(As you don't want a screensaver running on top of a game).
When it comes to Windows' Power settings you don't want things like turning off your monitor to be set near to the same time as when the screensaver comes on as it can interrupt it. You should add at least about 5 minutes wait time longer than your screensavers for the power saving settings to make sure they don't interrupt the screensaver from running.
Note: When my screensaver closes it unblocks windows from launching another screensaver, so it may run fine after you have used "Test".

I loved listening to the music when I sleep...
but then "11" came on...
Heh, i have done that. You can do what i did and un-check 11 in the Audio settings.
Wow, it's fantastic. One thing you can add, though, is customation options. You should make it so you could customize how long each mode lasts for, what modes are shown, etc.

It has customisation options...and the ones you mention. In the Screensaver selection bit in Windows when the MCI Screensaver is selected click on Settings and it will launch the screensavers settings. You can also right click on the ssmci2.scr (or ssmci.scr if your using v1.0) file and select settings.

For me it just immediately crashes, doesn't show up in screensaver list either, it works for my friend though (he has a better gpu than me, can that be the case).
While you have said the problem is fixed, Is there any error logs under %appdata%\ssmci\errorlogs\ (You should be able to type that into the start search thing. Think thats how you can run stuff... I have XP).
Could you make a screen saver that is, a basic minecraft hill with like a tree to the right, just a close up, and animals are walking around in front of you. like from a minecraft person's view on the side of a hill, really close up, with like 50 blocks showing, i would really like that, and it doesn't seem to hard to accomplish.

The screensaver should work fine on "modern" laptops, it works fine on a GeForce 5900XT (Desktop Card) made in 2004.
