If you installed to the default directory then you just need to goto the bit to select screensavers (Which is "Right Click on Desktop->Properties-> Screensavers" in XP) and hit configure.
This morning, new year, I went "I wonder if somebody has created a Minecraft screensaver"... I quickly found this one. One complaint, though - it doesn't play nicely with dual monitors. Example: In cube mode, it displays the left side of the cube on the far right of the primary monitor, and shows nothing on the secondary, not even black. This is worse than it sounds, because my primary monitor is on the right. Preferably it would either show a cube on both monitors centered, or on the primary centered while showing black on any others.
Unfortunately i don't have duel monitors, so i can't properly test any code designed for them(Your the first person i know thats used it with duel monitors). Supposedly you were meant to be able to have one window which fits over the area of all the monitors based on the research i did(Google. Which didn't turn up alot of results).
I will try and implement your suggestions. Below is a link to a version of the screensaver which doesn't try to support multiple monitors. At least it should let you use the screensaver on one monitor, until i have tried to implement your suggestions.
[*:1w9q3i9b]Added New Blocks introduced in the latest patch (Excluding Coloured Wool).
[*:1w9q3i9b]Added ability to select which Screensaver modes will be picked when random is selected.
[*:1w9q3i9b]Added 2 new modes, Falling Blocks and Blockfield(A Minecraft version of XP's Starfield screensaver)
Thanks for updating the screensaver, I like the new modes. As a request/suggestion, would it be possible for you to make a tetris style mode?

Tetris has already been suggested. Its currently on the todo list but i don't have enough time currently to implement it. Its not something that can be done in a short period of time, its more complex to implement a proper tetris clone than it sounds.

I could just bookmark this thread. In case I lose this thread again , could you put the update on the Screensaver's download page. So I have an easier time knowing when to update.

I have modified the downloads page so it shows the current version, it also has a link to a change log. MCI also has a Twitter Account which i plan on using each time a new version of the screensaver is released (And there is a Twitter Feed on the Welcome page of MCI so you don't even need to know the Twitter URL).
Firstly, I must say this is the best screensaver ever, but I don't know if my dad will let me keep it (our only comp). Secondly, I could draw in the minecraft logo section, but then all of a sudden, the area where you draw went blank (checkerboard) and I can't draw in it. Any help or advice?

Hopefully he will have good taste :tongue.gif:.

When you close the config window and then re-open it are you able to see anything in the logo bit?
You could try the following ssmci.exe replacement. It has theme support disabled for Panels. Which may stop your problem(Having it enabled can cause panels to flicker when you draw on them) but i honestly have no idea if it would help.
When I close and re-open it, nothing changes, even if i click the default button, it just defaults the settings, not the "Minecraft." I tried the replacement, nothing changed (I did extract it properly). I see what you mean with the MS paint thing, but if I did that, it wouldn't really be a screensaver, just a wallpaper, and it would eventually burn into the monitor. Thanks for trying anyway. :biggrin.gif:

I don't mean use it as a wallpaper. The image file i mentioned is created by the screensaver and used as a map to where it should place blocks. You can modify the png file to change where it places the blocks in the screensaver(Thats what the config bit does).

With modern monitors(Anything made within 10 years or so) you don't get images burned into the monitor, it was only with old monitors which that happened.

Try the following, iv added the ability to reset the logo with the default button.

Ok, now i got that, and I'm in the images folder in MCI_Data, but Minecraft Logo.png is 0x0 pixels (I think, because I can't open it). What size should it be and does 1 pixel = 1 block?
EDIT: sorry for taking your time.
EDIT2: I'm going to try uninstalling the screensaver, then re-installing it.
EDIT3: This^ did nothing.

Thanks, I had originally uninstalled your screensaver. Then figured out I could change the Netherrack block to something that I could stand. So now your screensaver is my default.
You do a great job.
Oh , finally remembered, could there be two screensaver randomizer options. One that randomizes it every time it starts like it does now and another that randomizes it every 10 minutes or more.

I second this opinion. :3
EDIT: My dad has seen this screensaver a couple times so far and hasn't said anything about it, so...*fingers crossed*

1 pixel = 1 block. Technically it can be any size you want.

As long as the Minecraft Logo.png exists it will be used instead of the Minecraft Logo.stf file. Its the Minecraft Logo.stf that comes with the installer.

You can also completely remove blocks by selecting them in the Block Types bit and clicking on the empty button above the list.

ChangeLog
Added ability to randomly select another Screensaver mode every X Minutes.
Added ability to Default the Minecraft Logo and Block Types.
Note: In the future if new block types are added, you would have to click the default button on the Block Types page for your list of blocks to be updated. This allows people to keep there custom blocks each time the Screensaver is updated and choose to overwrite them if they want.
