Hi All! This is my first time playing mine craft and I've had a lot of fun RPing so far, so I started a survival journal as a story for my character. I will be playing and posting by base chunks (base 1, base 2). I'm currently working on base three but the first base is written up and I'm starting on the second one. I try to set goals when I make a base and once accomplished I move on to a new one. Comment if you like it, if you want to make fun of grammar, or if you just wanna tell me how bad it is.
Base 1: The spawn base and surviving the first night!
"...and she'll never remember any of this." The words haunt me in my sleep. Every night it's the same dream. A room and a man, images washed in fire, dance before my eyes in the darkness. It feels like this darkness is all the will ever be as I fall deeper into dreams. The universe passes by me and grab out for a star. Reaching for the cosmic light to save me, to pull me back from all this........
Entry 1:
.... I gasp for breath. My body feels heavy. I must have been sleeping for a while because I feel awake before I open my eyes. The air my body pulls in muggy. I feel small particles of morning dew as they enter my mouth. I stood up and opened my eyes, I'm not sure of a lot of things, but I know that I'm alone. The first thing I notice is thick spruce trees peppering the landscape and a plateau in the distance.
At this moment my mind stops thinking and my body takes over. I want to live, I want to survive. Shelter is my first priority and I start strip wood from the trees. I notice a small herd of pigs in the forest next to me and note their location. I'll be hungry soon and pork chops are delicious. I hurry up my harvest and start to build an enclosure as the sun comes to an apex over the forest. It would almost be beautiful if I didn't feel like I was being left to die.
When I finished building my home base, I took the left over wood and started to tinker. My mind was wandering fast as the sun began to set . My hands ran over wood and I could feel the grain as I whittled it into more familiar shapes. Soon an array of tools sat before me. I picked up the crudely fashioned sword I just built and headed off to find those pigs again.
I came upon the pigs quickly and my hand made the sword true. What was once a family of pigs was now a family of dinner, but the animals were small. Realizing that a bigger food supply was needed I began to scout out around my base. Quickly I ran into a family of cows and upgraded my dinner to steak tonight. I continued on my search, food was plentiful, but night was coming and I haven't found anything to make my rest comfortable. I never thought this journey would be sheepless as well as sleepless, but sometimes that's how it breaks. I ran to my base to shelter myself from the sounds of predators awakening with the moon. Tomorrow I will abandon base camp and set out in search of wool, but for tonight I sleep
The trees bellow smoke into the clear night's skies. The stars are all hiding, covered by thick plumes of black smoke. I stand staring at the tree tops as fire consumes the forest around me. "Everything returns to dust" a voice booms throughout the world like a scratching record needle, chilling me to my core. All the trees blow away to the wins scattering the ashes like sand..............sand...............
I awoke in a cold sweat eager to get on my feet and leave this forest behind me. I got ready and packed up everything in my base. I had no idea where I was going to, but anywhere with a bed sounded nice. Maybe then I can get some sleep, instead of turning throughout the night.
